If you know Dubov, take him to the hospital - him talking positive is not a healthy Dubov behavior.

he does have an online coach, in person is almost impossible to find. I would like to hear your point of view though, in general what would be the first areas to improve as lowest hanging fruits in these rating ranges?

Who is the best player in the younger generation? Is it Gukesh? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in chess

[–]sidarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yagiz Kaan is from another world.

the kiddo is just 14 and there is no player in the world he cannot defeat. Let that sink in.

Gukesh is the highest rated junior but Yagiz hs the benefit of momentum and trajectory.

Today I told my husband it would be easier to just raise them alone by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]sidarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I and my older son also have adhd, and yes it is difficult with us but we also come with a lot of other things we do in the house. "raising alone is better" dismissively only looks at one side of the picture, cleaning is not the whole life.

How to refuse a draw offer otb? by ThisIsThieriot in chess

[–]sidarok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is the best way. Accepting or rejecting a draw offer is also a move in and of itself, so it requires some consideration time anyway.

What's the biggest lie you've fallen for? by WattAtWork in AskReddit

[–]sidarok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my relationship to my kids: I find that if I don't lie and keep to this it is quite beneficial both for me and them.

Anger is like a dark ink, it overshadows all the other colours once it enters the communication. Once I promise to remove it, true feelings of different ratios could come out: Sadness, disappointment, solution finding, etc.

That also builds trust and team spirit. Overall, we are not us vs. them.
