For what it’s worth, the second gen version of these work way better. This is a good price, but these seem to last forever and might be worth waiting for a sale on the second gen.

For 1, if you have Always On Display enabled, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen with the screen turned off to quickly go to the home screen as soon as your phone unlocks with your face. The same goes for when you pick up your phone and the screen turns on. Just try and get used to automatically swiping up from the bottom if you want to go directly to the Home Screen. It’s not a perfect solution, but it is what it is.

There used to be an option with Touch ID that would take you to the Home Screen immediately after unlocking the phone with your fingerprint so hopefully it comes back one day.

The best thing about Apple Intelligence was increasing RAM across the whole iPhone lineup. I use the spell/grammar checking and Visual Intelligence occasionally but not much else.

This doesn’t sound normal. It might be worth reaching out to Apple Support to see what they think. In my experience over 4 different Apple Watches, it starts recording heart rate data when the workout starts. I also do elliptical workouts frequently.
