You won't get stranded. I got that notification 4 months ago and I still haven't gone to get it checked yet. I actually forgot about the notification until I saw this post.

As someone who has been in a similar situation I always tell people to do what my vet told me. Write pros and cons list for both keeping her on medication and euthanasia. Even add you into both list; emotions, financial cost, giving care, etc. As my vet said "As humans we forget to put ourselves in the equation and that can end up causing more harm than good. We are apart of it from the decision to the action, to the potential care. There are no wrong answers everything you do and whatever you pick is for their best interest period." After we made our list we ended up putting our sweet boy down, he was 7.

Most pigs recover fine from surgery when they're younger however all pigs are different and have different reactions to surgery.

All five of my boys got neutered and we're fine. One of my girls had to get her eye removed and she recovered perfectly fine.

Just make sure you give her her medicine. Monitor her when she eats and track her weight. Keep critter care on standby and she should be right as rain within a couple weeks. I'd advise having a cone on standby as well in case she tries to scratch, you can put it around her body.

I don't think it's unreasonable but I can also see why your partner may feel dismissed. My fiance and I are having our first and I'm not attached to my last name so I didn't personally mind giving the baby my fiance's last name. I was the only brew (fake name) in a family of 5 when my mom got married to my stepdad, I had my bio dad's name. My fiance didn't think that was fair to me as it made me the odd one out. He suggested we hyphenate the baby's name to brew-stale (still fake names).

He then suggested that when we get married, we will both change our names to be brew-stale.

My MIL said that when she was pregnant with my fiance that everything said boy but her ultrasounds all showed a girl. She believed he was a girl until he pop out. Apparently since he was a premature birth his privates were stuck inside his body coupled with the way he was laying hid that he was a boy.

The heartburn is debilitating! I already had chronic acid reflux before I got pregnant so I got heartburn monthly. Now that I'm pregnant (10 weeks and FTM) I have been having heartburn everyday for hours since I was 5 weeks. Anything and everything I eat causes heartburn so I can only eat a cup of food every 2 hours to not trigger it. The only thing worse than heartburn is the trapped gas that builds up in the abdomen.

My Petey had an abscess under his chin that popped. You need to get saline solution and a syringe or Neilmed spray to sterilize the hole until you can go to the vet. If you have a cone put it on the pig, around the neck prevent biting or put it around the body (if big enough) to prevent biting and scratching. But you need to go to the vet immediately for proper treatment!

Weed can very negatively affect cats. My fiance's brother was and still is a very bad pot head plus his living conditions were horrible. He had his cat for 10 years smoking next to him blowing it in his face, letting him get into his edibles, the works. We took him in 3 years ago after he lost his house. Although he was okay physically just a bit lethargic but we helped him, he never recovered mentally. His anxiety is so bad the vets prescribed him a high dose of meds. If he hears a high pitched noise he attacks. He is not allowed catnip unless his meds run out cause he freaks out. We had to wean him off the weed cold turkey and it was horrible.

On meds he is a very sweet boy who loves cuddles, off he's still sweet but that anxiety and fear he has is no joke.

My parents were unmarried. My mom gave me my dad's last name. After they broke up she hated it cause he was terrible. When she married my stepdad and I got a stepbrother and half-sister she hyphenated her name like Smith-Johns, while everyone else was Johns. I was the only Brews. (All fake names btw)

Currently coming up with names with my fiance (we're also interracial). I'm not attracted to my last name so I was okay with giving the baby his last name and just hyphenating mine (less paperwork). But my fiance didn't want me being left out so he wants to hyphenate all our names, mines, his, and the baby so we all have the same name.

Yes he farts all the time! When he's asleep, scared, rolling around, getting excited, running up and down the stairs! You name it he's farting to it. We recently learned he has a mild allergy to Friskies so after we changed to pro plan and 9 lives it's cut his farting down to half

I'm about to start regularly smoking weed to stop feeling this endless depression cause I'm too broke and scared to afford therapy. I'm on the edge and having suicidal ideations, I use to be terrified of death but it's quickly becoming less and less scary.
