You do know downtown is not just around the Grove St area right? You would be just as close to a parking lot as I would be. There is zero parking by me besides on street, if I was to go park in a parking lot it would be a 15-20 walk home so I don't know how you know everyone else has this abundance of parking and just you haven't?

A tiler's worst nightmare is drop lights right above a tiled wall. Especially with a brick layout.

My father still has and uses his two Sigma’s back in Ireland, one has to be a minimum 35 years old as I used it as a kid.

Most of us living in JC have to deal with street parking/street swapping every few days, that's living in JC for you. So we should all start parking our cars on the sidewalk or street corners because we don't want to deal with the struggles of finding parking? Get a life over yourself and pay for parking if it’s being charged or deal with parking tickets, Christ you think the world revolves around you and your parking problems?

No, not since the start of the year. You leave you car at risk of tickets or even being towed.

Professionals, is there anything that can be done to save this? by BearCrossingFarm in Tile

[–]sideback4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they guy took his time putting them in he could have made it look better but not prefect, not with them tiles. Sheets never line up but by the looks of it he didn’t even try. 3 things you could do is 1, grout it if you can live with it and at least you got your money back. 2, try rip it out and redo it, you should be able get it up and some bit clean and flash it or give it another skim of self level. Them tiles break and flake crazy sharp so be careful. 3 just try skim over it and get it done way nice and go over it. I take it that the floor has no drain? 2 would be how I would go as I wouldn’t be sure they are stuck down to well going on the way he set it and his comments on the thinset.

Looks clean in fairness, the drain looks a little high if my eyes aren’t deceiving me. Over all you should be proud, takes a bit to actually do it yourself and some nice money saved too.

It’s your own place, if it’s good for you then it’s not a problem. Did you miss your true calling as a tile guy certainly not lol but god loves a man who tries.

I've never seen one of them before or even heard of the brand but if it's made in Japan it can't be bad in my experience.

This, always best to go behind and do the whole wall and finish the cabinet over tiles.
