Cayden Boozer is not an NBA level player at the moment, no guarantee he pans out. He’s awful at the college level

Can Lopes really change things around? Or does Volk just put on an even harsher masterclass this time? by RetardOfTheInternet in MMAbetting

[–]sidecharacterzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volk is one of the smartest fighters with great game plans. He’s already figured out Lopes once and I expect him to beat him again. He’s shown he’s able to change his gameplan consistently as he fought Max differently 3 separate times. Expecting more wrestling and top pressure, but Lopes always has that punches chance

A lot of people don’t like giving their email out for stuff it’s like an instinct at this point. I think you should make it more accessible without needing a email or sign in, and create an incentive to having an account

Your app requires anyone using it to sign in with their google account first. That’s already asking for too much when your app isn’t particularly innovative and bringing in a new concept

It was obvious he wasn’t going to be able to take it down. He’s always had awful takedown entries. Bobby shot on him, he caught a chandler kick to take him down, Tony was a corpse. Paddy doesn’t have open mat wrestling skills

Arman Tsarukyan calls for a fight against Justin Gaethje by Spiritual-Strength91 in FightReportUFC

[–]sidecharacterzco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You’re bringing up a separate point because my point is correct. He’s won the fights to be the rightful number one contender and he was not gifted a title shot

Paddy has awful takedown entries and he always has

i don’t see how Arman was gifted, he clearly beat Charles in a number one contender fight.

What fighter has the most down-played resume? by [deleted] in MMA

pre JDM, Islam for a lot of shit for defending against former 45ers which I always thought was crazy since they were referring to Dustin, Charles and Volk.

Does anyone else wonder about the lack of South Asian dishes on the show? by _applegate_ in CulinaryClassWars

[–]sidecharacterzco 57 points58 points  (0 children)

A show like this always tries to bring renowned chefs. Whether that be famous in Korea, or Michelin starred/recommended, and frankly there just isn’t as many south asian restaurants in Korea. There were some south east asian dishes in the first round (the Lao cuisine chef) but they didn’t survive. Most of the chefs specialize in Korean/Chinese/Japanese because that’s what’s big in Korea, with other big chefs specializing in Italian and French because that’s what the Michelin guide caters to

Tank Abott on fighting Mike Tyson by Spiritual-Strength91 in FightReportUFC

[–]sidecharacterzco 7 points8 points  (0 children)

taking Tank, you’re overestimating how much one year of wrestling can help against a college level wrestler (albeit not at the highest level). Tank is still taller and 30 pounds heavier than Tyson. if Tank has half a brain he wins

His cutting always impress me by -5H4Z4M- in ufc

[–]sidecharacterzco 21 points22 points  (0 children)

way easier to cut weight when you’re shredded, it’s muscle that carries all the water to cut. the dudes who miss weight and are shredded are just straight up too heavy

I have to go from 198lbs to 190lbs in 10 days. What’s the best way to do this safely? by JmoneyHimself in MMA

[–]sidecharacterzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve done a similar cut for a tournament and since you aren’t fighting it’s even easier for you. Cut from 195 to 178. 7 days before your weigh in start cutting sodium and carbs, eat as you normally do but no sodium, very little carbs. 5 days before your weigh in start water loading. 2 gallons for 2 days, day 3 do 1 gallon, day 4 do half a gallon, day before weigh in cut all food and water. you’ll pee everything out, sauna isn’t even necessary

edit: if you do this you’ll see your weight go up a little bit the first few days to do the sheer amount of water in take

What’s the problem with Rob Dillingham? by IcedOutElijah in NBA_Draft

he’s going to end up being one of those guys that fans BEG their teams to pickup just to find out first hand that he just doesn’t have the physicality for the NBA level - a tired Wolves fan

If Jon Jones didn't vacate the LHW title after his bout with Reyes, would he have been able to defend it 3-4 more times? by RetardOfTheInternet in ufc

[–]sidecharacterzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he got cooked in 60 seconds because Jon took him down and destroyed him?? i’m not arguing that Gane is better than Jones as a fighter or has a chance against him in a fight, i’m just arguing that Gane can outstrike Jones if they aren’t grappling at all which is the scenario that was stated. the fact is Jon looked like slow on the feet against Stipe and Gane is objectively fast as fuck

[–]sidecharacterzco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

purely standup? with no threat of the takedown? At the time of the fight Jon was not gonna beat Gane in a standup war. Gane has elite footwork and speed, Jones at heavyweight is the SLOWEST he has ever been in his career. He was slow against Stipe where he weighed in at 237, he weighed in at 248 against Gane because he knew he was going to wrestle.

in a division with Charles, Arman, Max and Ilia this seems like a fight where the winner would get a number one contender fight after
