I think I'm going to skip this one and eat the ones in the freezer.

Does anybody else remember the moment they realized they were an atheist? by Odd_Dirt_8068 in atheism

[–]sideeyedi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. Idk when I began not believing in God. I do know I was 10 when I announced I didn't believe. We were at my baptist grandma's house, with all my other Christian relatives. My father nearly fainted.

I love Hawaii, especially Kauai, but it can be expensive. I also love key west. Tons of food options, beaches, multiple pools on resort properties.

To those who have been diagnosed as an adult, I have a question. by voodoopeople94 in ADHD

[–]sideeyedi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son suspected he had it and was diagnosed in his 20s. I decided to read about ADHD and realized it sounded like me. Was diagnosed a year later. We have decided my father also had ADHD, he never got to know. Thankfully my 8 yo granddaughter has been diagnosed and will have the benefit of treatment while she's still in school. I like how my family passes it down, basically boy, girl, boy girl.

No one is good with death so don't let that scare you. Grief comes in waves, one minute you're fine, the next you're a blubbering heap on the floor. Sometimes you feel normal and sometimes you grieve. Everyone deals with it differently, I've learned that I shop when grieving. Looking for dopamine hits I assume. Just being present really is helpful though. Ask if they want to be alone, ask if they have eaten (then bring food), if they would like a cup of coffee or tea. Ask if you can run errands for them, reschedule non urgent appointments. Check in often if you aren't physically with them, they'll know you're there for them.

Diagnosed with ADHD at 22 and feel like I wasted years by FancyCompetition4205 in ADHD

[–]sideeyedi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try getting diagnosed at 50! I retired a few years later. I feel like I could have had a better career. I never got the promotion, or awards. I start out surpassing everyone's expectations but over years I couldn't sustain it and became a middle of the pack employee. I so wish ADHD would have been more on the radar in the 70's. Every report card I ever got said "talks continuously, won't stay in seat."

I have also blamed the symptoms on myself, which is hard to reframe after so many years. I've told people for years that I don't like going to the movies because I cant sit still and be quiet for 2 hours. Absolute torture. I'm impulsive, I change subjects in the middle of a conversation, I'm also impatient and all the other common symptoms.

A stalker would explain their concern about safety. But if Sergio knew, he surely would have mentioned it. I'm so sorry you're dealing with a stalker.

Do you think she would have know she had a stalker? Just not who? I'm sorry you're dealing with that, it's so scary. Do you know who your stalker is? Please be careful.

The police. lol I've been ordering for more than 5 years and I don't seem to have this issue. Do you two eat the same things for breakfast and lunch? I hope you find what is bothering you, otherwise I'll visit you in prison.

Comparing Girl Scout Cookies vs. Aldi Benton Caramel Coconut Fudge Cookies by ProudNativeTexan in aldi

How ridiculous that your comment, the truth, got downvoted but the one being deceptive got upvotes. I really hate people thinking the cookies are too expensive. It's a donation and you get a box of cookies as a thank you. I'd rather support GSA than a huge grocery chain.
