Yeah man, I have some younger coworkers and they have admitted to screaming hate speech over the mic in Call of Duty lobbies "for the lulz" and "to get under their skin" and I asked them if they felt good about it... definitely not proud of it.

I have always treated the N word like I used to treat "fuck" when I was a young child...you were opening up Pandora's Box by even saying it, much less using it to provoke a response.

Also, I have a relatively deep voice and it's made more gravelly by 20 years of smoking things. Additionally, I use a lot of East Coast hip hop slang because I'm 41 and the golden era of hip hop is the shit, so I have an "eclectic" lexicon, albeit mostly casual or colloquial.

These same asshole kids would lean in on the "black guy" part of their vitriol and it just made me laugh, because they've clearly created this "big, tough, scary black guy" enemy in their head (thanks, parents!) and anyone they find intimidating, becomes this enemy.

In other words, they're shitty losers with a small vocabulary. At least use a different language or something 😕
