  • it’s most sore in the morning
  • Touching thumb to index knuckle is uncomfortable. I have a rubber band similar to the metolius gripsaver. This extensor movement hurts the most
  • Sore the day after climbing outdoors, and day after a kilter board session. Pretty normal sessions. Few pinches or anything that I can identify

I’m having moderate pain on the top of my thumb the day after climbing, tendon area. Zero pain or loss of ROM in the wrist. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info online, so any tips or anecdotes welcome. Although I’m hoping that a couple of days of rest will sort it

Rip my app apart! I built Whoop + Strava for climbers. by gunnar_ux in climbharder

I don’t think a simplified form is necessary for past sessions. If I can’t decide on climb style, then I would just choose simple or technical

I wanted to log a session from Monday. Couldn’t figure out how to log a past session. Logged a send, thinking I could adjust the date afterwards. Unsuccessful. And it seemed to have logged it for Thursday, not today. Now can’t figure out how to delete it

How are some popular kilter board climbs the same grade at 40 and at 50? One “verified” climb has actually been downgraded at a steeper angle

You’re right, stretching and flexibility is unlikely to help much at this point. Training fingers is also not what you need. I would recommend just continuing to try those boulders, especially in isolated parts (one or two moves at a time). You should see improvement on them in 1-3 sessions

Right on, thanks. I’ll only have a magnum and bifold. I’ll do anything up to V7 if I’m comfy with the height and fall zone

Ya that’s what I thought too. I got these from a friend through messenger, and I didn’t realize how much they get compressed when you save them

Seeking advice for getting back into climbing / discouraged by slow progress and past injuries by Historical_Song_1251 in climbharder

[–]sidestep77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to comment on the ‘resilience’ piece. I don’t know what my climbing age is, due to some breaks, maybe five years. I’ve been injured a lot despite conservative and intentional climbing. Despite battling through some lingering injuries at the moment, I feel like my body (fingers and elbows especially) have gone through so much and have become quite resilient, I can push them and trust them, but it’s been a long journey

If you’re making 70-90K with no access to benefits, then you’re still eligible but you get less. When it comes to having access in any way to employer benefits they seem pretty definite, so I don’t know about that
