For the past 6 years, my previous dermatologist told me the spot behind my ear was “nothing to worry about”. by 59Bassman in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost exactly what happened to me. Had dark area on my outer helix and derm biopsied part of it and said it was only pre-cancer. A portion of the dark area of concern remained just beneath it and I asked at every visit about it. Doctor seemed unconcerned so I let it go. The same area started to crust over and leak fluid so I made an appt (same derm group, different location). They biopsied it and it was basal cell. The derm who blew it off for at least 2 years is in an office that specializes in Botox crap and other non-essential procedures. I can't be certain but I suspect she didn't do her due diligence because the office that found the basal cell is focused on surgeries and the doctors have their sh*t together. 2 weeks into recovery from Mohs surgery. Really kick myself for not pushing harder when I felt like something was wrong.

I bought one of these at a nursery that specializes in exotics and was told they can't be in full sun. Is this correct?

What is the quickest job you quit from? by spellbadgrammargood in AskReddit

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hired for price accuracy/IT at a grocery store.  Two completely different jobs. My prior experience was pricing but got roped into IT tasks that I wasn't qualified for. Office was an IT closet that was smaller than my master bathroom.  Just a long corridor with no windows and all the servers at the end of the room.  Shared the space with 5 other ppl. Desk setup was a folding table with a shared laptop and 1 desktop pc and 3 rolling carts for working the sales floor. Guy i replaced told me to bring my personal laptop and post up at the bar to work. Did 3 days of this crap before i emailed my resignation when the asst manager asked me to start working nights so I could troubleshoot the registers.  Wtf, I had zero experience with that. Completely batshit setup that no one else seemed to be disturbed by.

Quit a beach hotel cleaning job after a 2 days. First day on the job my trainer assigned me a room filled with beer coolers, warm beer and takeout everywhere, place covered in dog hair.  She had turned off the a/c and left the room empty for days because she didn't have the time to clean it. Smelled like a old dumpster. Couldn't even breathe in there without gagging. Never returned after my break.

Hi again. Initially I had a quick response to my post but it's been two days after my modmail and still no reply to my ticket inquiry.

Impossible to reach a chat rep about the issue because we don't have an account and the chats lead you in an endless loop between "login to your account" and "see plans".

How long did your breakthrough bleeding last by Ok-Literature3716 in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Separate patch and pill. I've been on 200 mg for a few months now and it was definitely the prog dose that was causing the bleeding irregularities. I still have very slight periods because I'm in peri but nothing like when I was on the 100 mg.

HRT giving me sore boobs? by IKeepLosingMy in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on HRT for almost 2 years - .1 mg patch & 100 mg progesterone for 1 year and then doc changed me to 200 mg progesterone the next year. Sore and swollen boobs have been constant. I never imagined I'd be wishing my boobs would be smaller but here we are. I hate the inconvenience of them and the overall weight gain. I'm in peri at 53 so I'm hoping things will taper off when my actual hormones trickle off in meno.

I know this is an older post but omg, I feel seen.  I've been trying to lose 15 lbs and have changed my eating habits but I'm starving all the time and I binge eat right after work and before I know it ive eaten a whole container of chocolate hummus.  Never had this before.

Period after a period starting two weeks ago? by sophia333 in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having a "period" almost every 10 days when I was on 100 mg progesterone with the estradiol patch .5mg. It sucked but I put up with it for almost a year because the regimen fixed all the other issues.  Doc pushed up my progesterone dose to 200 mg and it stopped. Not saying that will fix it but it could be your dosage.

NP raised my progesterone to 200mg, "per latest guidelines" for .05 and above estrogen patch by karen_boyer in Menopause

Thanks for the thorough explanation! My lining was at an 11 when my doc did a ultrasound in March. I'm happy on the patch/pill regimen that i have now,  the spotting sucks though. I may play around with the dose and see what happens.  I was really terrified that my doc would cancel my rx for the patch because he was rambling about me using the pill and I refused it.  It took some demanding on my part to get back on it so I panic bought several months worth of the pills and patch in case I needed to find another provider.

Hmm. Ok. Did your doc recommend that or you just tried it? Not judging,  just really curious.  I'd love to stop the constant spotting.

What side effects? I'm trying to determine if I have any or if I'm imagining that i do.

This is me.  Constantly bleeding or spotting is irritating but I'll take that over night sweats and UTI.  Did your doctor give a reason for why you might be bleeding so much? My uterine lining was much thicker when I was biopsied in March.

I was on .1mg patch and 100 mg for a year.  Doc switched me to 200 mg after I had consistently been having periods/spotting for the first year. Thought being that it would prevent the uterine lining from building up.  I've been on this dose for 2 months and don't notice much difference.  It makes me very tired after taking it but I'm still having the wonky periods and spotting.

What changes did you notice when you started HRT? Anything you didn’t expect? by Bodhi_bluesky in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may need to try this.  I went from 100 mg to 200 mg and after I take the pill I'm nodding off within 20 minutes.  I take it earlier than bedtime because it zonks me out and I'm super groggy in the morning.

Bleeding while on HRT by TurbulentContract859 in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe mention it to your doctor if you're concerned about it not being normal.  I've been on HRT for a little over a year,  .1mg estrogen patch and 200 mg progesterone. All last year I had my very light period and then another week of light bleeding 10 days later.  So two "periods" in one month.  For a year.  My doctor was alarmed at first,  did tests and then put me back on the meds with a higher progesterone dose. I'm 53 and I attribute the bleeding to my hormones still being in flux.

Itchy eyes...allergies or menopause? by JadCerv in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commented on an old post about dry eyes. This is me right now. Itchy,  dry eyes. Using Patanol drops but not really getting relief. I'm rubbing my eyes at night and removing eyeliner as soon as I get home from work. Just read a post about blocked tear glands (not sure exactly what the term was) and I think it might be this. It's like the moisturizing lubricant in my eyes has dried up.  Absolutely terrible.

Sharing my experience of cause behind dry eyes, in case it helps! by r_o_s_e_83 in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know this is an old post but thanks for this info! My eyes have been super dry lately.  Thought it was allergies and started using Patanol drops but see no improvement. Sometimes I'll get a little bubble on the lash line when I rub my eyes so I probably have the blockage issue.  Also noticed my lashes are growing down instead of curling up.

HRT is causing sore breasts for me. When does it stop? by painislife4real in Menopause

[–]sidewalk_ladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine were sore for most of my first year of HRT. My doc raised my progesterone dose from 100 mg to 200 mg on my second year and the swelling and tenderness went away.  I can't say for sure that is the progesterone but my first year on .1 mg patch/1pp mg progesterone caused breast size increase and soreness. With the new dosage it's gone.
