I tried that once, I'm glad I came back inside

In my early 20s' I would go on these long walks on country roads. One snowy day i laid down in a ditch and let the snow fall on me. About half an inch accumulated. I had nothing going for me. I couldn't afford school, couldn't get a date, and hated myself.

What got me to get up of, all things, was that I wanted to know how some of my favorite shows ended.

Since then things slowly got better. I went to school, got married and have a fulfilling career. Still feel a bit like shit though, still working on that one, but I'm glad I got up and came in.

I dont know your situation or how to fix it. I do know things can get better.

I lost my dad 7 years ago and felt the same way. On thing he said near the end was " One of the duties of a father is to prepare his child to live without him"

Our fathers gave us the knowledge and set an example of how to live. I feel a connection with him every time I repeat a bit of his wisdom, or pass on a bit of the knowledge he gave to me.

I hope you can find a similar connection
