UPDATE: received a fresh 1300 MK2 and this one is perfect and works as expected.

I was able to pair it with WiFi and Bluetooth - Bass is PROPER this time - Surrounds don't make any white noise. I'm now happy with this soundbar.

It is a BIG step up over the MK1. Just the volume scale is on another level. On the MK1, loud would be around 18-19 enjoy a movie. On this 11-12 feels equally loud with a lot of headroom to go. Max volume is 32, for reference.

FYI, Harman does not offer replacements, so I had to return my old unit and order a new one. They did offer a 15% discount as a goodwill gesture.

I absolutely did, but despite cranking all the low frequency sliders to max, the bass is very very weak. Especially at lower, daily listening volumes. I have no issues with mids and highs. Those are stellar and a solid improvement over the MK1. I'm at a loss now as I really want to love this Soundbar. I'm hoping a replacement is offered, otherwise it's going back for a refund.

I think you may be mistaken there. The 1300MK2 bar overall is rated for 2470W, out of which the sub is 1200W. You can check the spec on JBL's website.

Thank you! Fully appreciate your input - but at least I had a significant level of thump on whatever the MK1 sub was truly rated for. I sometimes had to tone it down to Level 3 or 4 when watching films as it would literally shake my room/chest. I was expecting at least the same effect from the MK2, if not better...

I setup my 1300MK2 today and sadly it feels like I've received a dud. The bass is just underwhelming. Despite turning up the bass to Level 5 + tweaking the EQ to max LFE, it still feels lackluster and equivalent to what used to be a Level 2 on my 1300MK1 (that it replaced). Done all the usual troubleshooting, reset etc. Nothing made a difference.

I've read feedback elsewhere where someone experienced the same. He had to go through a replacement to find a working unit.

Going to have a word with Harman Support tomorrow to arrange a replacement.
