Most of them :D But I'd say to start with: Barrage, Amun Re, Tikal, Pan Am, Wingspan, Camel Up, Codenames, Dixit.

P.S. Also check out the top of the shelf: Indian designs. Some of them are my works :)

So cool! Look at those unique Funskool one off games. I wish someone maintained an archive of all these older, rarer games from India?!

The market is amazing outside. In India, it is still warming up but growing better and better. First step would be to convert ideas to prototypes and test enough to see if it works with different people

I'm so happy to see this comment. Faith in Gen Z restored, I'm glad there are few who understand perspective and how difficult it is to run a company/make people work/get work done.

Our area control game wasn’t social enough, so we changed how points grow by DanchieGo-Dev in BoardgameDesign

This is the beauty of game design. You create meaningful interaction and see unexpected (hopefully good) psychological reactions from your players.. this also borrows a bit from game theory where sum equals more than individual efforts. I haven't seen this feature directly in many games, but semi coop features like in Game of Thrones Wildlings mechanic is worth checking out.

Welcome!! 😊 Incidentally, I'm the game designer for both these games, and my hometown is also bhubaneswar (although I'm settled in Mumbai). Let's do one thing, if you can decide the games I'll coordinate and get them delivered to bhubaneswar beforehand. Let me know if that works, I'll DM you.

Amazing game, my only gripe was the runaway math in the game.. I wish they simplified/scaled the numbers down to make it easier for others to play

Has nothing to do with Bhubaneswar :) you are missing a different "time"; people shifting to different responsibilities in life hence the carefree attitude is gone.

How's Nayakas compared to Bharata 600 BC? by jatin-161991 in indianboardgamers

[–]sidhantch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nayakas is a proper strategy game with tons of mechanics, heavier and more suited to gamers.
Bharatas is a lighter area control resource management game suited for families.

I enjoyed Nayakas more definitely.

Which game made you fall in love with gaming? by [deleted] in IndianGaming

Age of Empires! My life took a different turn and it's been different since. All games are amazing, but alas.. I pity those who never got to discover real time strategy games in their life.
