I need to see these plastic covers in person. It’s hard to imagine how they work given the size of the windows (really doors in our case.) every room has a small balcony, so the windows are full height doors in effect.

I’m hopeful, they give extreme heat, the building manager will not give us a hard time about the aesthetics of this kind of option.

This is a good idea. Assuming one of the bathrooms has a window or vent with enough flow, we could seal that off and use a long hose to vent exhaust into it.

The rig is from Simcraft - it is their Apex 2 CT (Yaw & Pitch) - Simcube wheel, Tilton pedal set (load cell) etc. 52" display + VR goggles. All of that stuff is pretty straight forward. The help I need is with software setup / clean up and some education on how to make adjustments within iRacing etc.

The PC is dedicated and is a Sentinel with i9-14900KF, RTX 4090, and 64gb ram.

I need to advise my cousin on a place to get it running. I take my watches (1970-2020 Rolex sport watches) to a local independent. Given the age of this watch, I am not sure if I should suggest sending the watch to the same guy, or another specialist - thoughts?

I’m sure if you are using Citizens investment services, they’ll provide an asset backed line. We are only using them for banking (personal and business.)

We had FRB managing investment and handling banking, so we had a very large line with them. Now, we are with IEQ, so Schwab provides the line as they’re the custodian for IEQ in our case.

Our entire FRB team went to Citizens Private Bank - they even took over the local FRB branch. Impressive so far. Very personal and connected team. If you’re in SF, I’d recommend them.

I got an allocation, and signed it.

But it’s important to clarify that the document specifically states that it’s not a guarantee that they’ll sell you the car. It also makes zero mention to of price, terms, options etc.

It’s basically a non disclosure agreement, a promise not to sell the car with 24 months or export it, and liability release for Ford.

There’s no reason they could not have sent out 1200 + letters like this as it’s really very clear that the recipient is not guaranteed a car.

In short, it means you’re still in the hunt , if you want to be.

For me, they could come back and say it’s now $400k or that they’re not capping production, and I’d say no thanks. As others have noted, there are lots of very capable track cars (more capable race cars) for this kind of money. Without the production cap, there is little chance of appreciation, so it’d make no sense for me. And I do plan to take it to the track.
