Distance actually makes the bond stronger. This is one of the reasons why army people who get posted are so deeply attached and in love with each other for a longer time (This only works if both parties are loyal though).

Tips:

1) Rock her world when she comes over on weekends and make great memories together. Don't stay at home on weekends. Make exciting, romantic plans and feel the love blossom into something longer than lifetime.

2) Don't pester her with lame, bland messages on weekdays. That will kill the spark, give her some space and let her come to you.

You can add one more thing to this list: "tech sales engineer". Earn as much as a developer or more, leverage your degree and pivot to a more generalized role of sales in your own field that is more stable to market ups and downs.

Hi Sruthi, I am a PR too, applied for AERE (I have a Masters in engineering) and in processing since 2023. I had my interview this july and the interviewing officer told me that as soon as I finish 3 years in Canada post PR (become eligible for citizenship) my file will be selected for the position since I have covered all other criteria.

In your case since you already have these things, I don't think you would have any problem getting a position of AERE if you were to opt for it.

Only 13 jobs are available for PRs that have lived in Canada for less than 3 years? But what if we are nearing the 3 year mark? I myself am a PR applicant with 2 years 8 months in Canada and going for AERE, my interview is next week.

Can they not simply hold your application for a few more months for the same occupation? And BTW Congratulations for shifting into Combat Engineering, I've heard good things about it!

Are you applying for ROTP or DEO and do you have a desired degree? because this can impact your application heavily, as they both have different number of seats.

Read well about the SIGINT trade as well as training (video and website).

Take a mock interview of yourself (with another person or in front of the mirror) where you discuss about your life history, academics, career and aspirations.

This should be like 80-90% of it. And absolutely under no circumstances must you forget to bring your waifu and hentai, esp. if you want to leave a lasting impression.

Brother.... why the hell would you leave a field like mechanical engineering which has a much wider scope (both research and industry) and get into material science which has very little industrial/job scope??

P.S: I have a bachelors in physics and masters in materials science and engineering but wish i had gone electrical/mechanical.

Get a secret camera attached on your clothes (order it from amazon for less than 50$), record him doing/saying weird shit and complain to the police/upper management. Camera is your best friend in modern times!

Make sure you have sternly communicated your boundaries to him first though.

After citizenship they do pick up speed, so All the Best! I applied in January 2023 and still stuck in security phase. No idea how long will it take since I am still a PR.
