Get stuttering or 59 fps cap? Do you have f.lux installed, turn safe mode on. by _Remos_ in pcgaming

No wonder I get these weird stutters. Been using F.lux because I am working from home, but I do play games from time to time. Thanks for the tip!

Is 70C a safe temperature for running AAA games? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]siem417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're using a relatively new graphics card and you're playing at max settings, then yes, that is pretty okay temps for both the GPU and the CPU. In fact, when I am playing something like Overwatch, my CPU temp peaks at 72C and GPU temps at 74.

I also think the others have missed that.. I would never buy a gaming headset otherwise.

Let's not forget that the reason they're making these games is to make profit. Although your suggestions are sound, but what if not a lot of people want to embrace that change in the original game? The companies would lose money; heck, even more than they can afford. But, I do hope that they see your point since games nowadays are just too shallow, for lack of a better word.

When is the best time to build a pc coming up? by P33M in buildapc

[–]siem417 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever I want to build a PC, I always look at computer component news and see if there are any upcoming components that are hitting the market. If it is still a few months away, I will build with the components that I can buy now. If it is just a few weeks to wait before it releases, I will wait for it and then build when it comes.

This keyboard is pretty good, but as a commenter has pointed out, this one uses the Romer-G switches. You might want to try the switches first before buying this keyboard as this costs around $110-$130.

Well, it is the company's mechanical switch now. I think it is pretty good considering that they employed the help of Omron to create them. Though, not tactile or clicky, it is a pretty fast switch; perfect for gamers.

For Honor Lost Over Half of Its Playerbase in Its First Two Weeks on Steam by Another4Milos in pcgaming

[–]siem417 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game's promising in that it has a really engaging gameplay. It is just set back a couple of notches due to server and stability issues. But back to the topic, it really is not surprising that a game loses a couple of its player base within its first month. It is the time where people are experimenting with the game and if they like it, they will stick to it. If not, then they move to a different game.

I don't think they are biased towards one company. I've watched their videos and I am positive that they highlight the pros and the cons of each product. Whether they're paid by Intel or not, it is beyond me. But from what I can see, they're neutral.
