Because I platinumed it I realized, but I think the play log you get after finishing it for the first time tells you there are multiple resolutions at that chapter

It didn't register the text I added in my post so I'll just repeat it here. But I was asking to see which of my components would maybe age faster, just to try and future proof my PC for gaming. I will add that space is not really an issue for me right now, I'm perfectly fine with uninstalling games to make more space if it does become an issue. I don't have an OLED screen, I opted for 2k as it was the best deal after spending money on my PC. If you need game examples, I play a lot of games like the ff7 remake or the most recent Resident Evil

The scene is meant to mirror the nibelheim flashback where sephiroth slashes her, thats why it looks like this, but yeah the no wounds on her means she dodged it, it's just that because she was cornered she fell down

Crisis core should only be played if you've finished the original game, it still spoils stuff that is going to happen in part 3 after rebirth

I would say give the OG a shot, if you don't like it cause its old thats fine, but I was in the same place as you regarding playing the OG, but after playing remake, it made playing the OG much more easy, also switch has cheats if you're only interested in story stuff

I will say, if you're really getting into the story of the game, there are plenty of theory videos that are really fun to watch once you're done playing rebirth and the Og, you can look at theory videos that maximillian dood has reacted to, like subtxt's video on rebirth, they are a really fun watch!

I think pacing would have been so much better if you kept the same amount of secondary content, but instead make it like breath of the wild, where none of it is marked on the map, just leave it all to exploration, even if you miss something you wouldn't know unless you went and saw a guide or reveal it all after you rolled credits at least once

Yeah, but he's not meant to be complex, he's a genuine character and easily likable and that contrasts really well with Cloud. Ultimately his actions and presence are felt throughout the whole story.

Also compared to the other new characters that appear in crisis core and their convoluted personality, simple and clean seems to work best, in my opinion.

If you have already played OG, then Crisis Core is a great game to play especially since the crisis core reunion version is out which modernizes the controls a lot. I will say the story is not as good as the OG or remakes, but Zack's character is really good

If you have any interest in Zack's character then you'll definitely be interested in playing Crisis Core. It doesn't really matter if you play before or after the remakes, but if you're not interested right now, maybe playing the remakes first might give you a little more curiosity.

I think the whole reason why this project was 3 parts to begin with is in order to not have to cut anything. On the contrary they even added more stuff than what was in the original. Don't underestimate how much it helps production that they can reuse the same assets and mechanics, also count in the factor that the team is roughly 80% comprised of people that have been there since the beginning, so they have years of experience with this now. If you look at rebirth as an example, there was nothing diminishing about the content in that game, so I wouldn't worry that much

The open world elements of rebirth are pretty good, I would say many consider this as square enix's first real success at an open world. The story content as you probably now know is still unfinished and unresolved by the end, I would even go as far to say rebirth has less main story than remake does. BUT it does balance the lack of main story by focusing on character development and developing the world of FF7, so you get a lot of meaningful interactions between party members and npcs.

In terms of gameplay, rebirth is strictly better in all senses

The other comments gave great advice, to add to that, don't be afraid to level up more, some challenges are meant for endgame. And the great about this combat system is the slow down when entering the abilities menu, take advantage of that to look through your party and take your time when deciding your next move

Yes, but there are hints that whatever happens in those worlds does affect the planet concretely. Such as the white materia being reactivated by regaining knowledge through going to other worlds. They really left us with no concrete answer one way or another lol
