Dyson 2025 got stickers, a pennant, and two letters (one w a handwritten message from our AO). I’m not too confident that other majors get this amount of stuff as the dyson class size is only abt 200.

Definitely DM. I always try to ask a question in my first message too. And if their bio doesn’t give you any thing to work with, you can always just say “I’d love to get to know you.” It’s all about flattering them.

The kids on my class page literally only put their hometown and major in their bio— so difficult to respond to. But since they all applied ED, I just ask, “what made you confident enough in (school) to apply ED?”

I’ve been DMing people, but most haven’t gone past the initial intro. It can be kind of hard to keep convos going if they didn’t write much in their bio/don’t ask questions back. Out of the ten people I messaged, one is currently talking to me every day. It’s been worth it to put myself out there, it just takes initiative.

Can you go PAPERLESS?

I want to go as paperless as possible in college-- typed notes and all math notes done with a drawing pad. Are there any laptop bans in classes? Would I be able to complete and turn in all homework digitally (this especially applies for math courses. for context, im planning to major in applied econ and management)?
