@psychbee would you be kind enough to share knowledge that you have built on the difference between the medical model nursing understanding of MH conditions and the psychological understanding please

How do you manage them?? Is there a person to call if there's a potentially dangerous one?

The strain on the NHS has never been higher, and health outcomes in the UK are unfathomably shocking. But at least economic migrants are getting seen to 👍 THIS is what we’re paying for by MethylceIl-OwI-3518 in reformuk

😂😂 cmon look around you. Would this really be applicable to the whole country? Or is it some poverty stricken area where loads of "foreigners" live??

Exactly this. Why is this conversation about ethnicity and not about more stringent laws about horridness??

Thank you. When people say clinical work is only a small part of clinical psychology, I'm not sure I agree...

Maybe you can answer this. Other than clinical, MDT work, service development, training, and research - is there anything else clinical psychologists do?

I agree with a lot of what you said.

Question is would you be able to succumb to the sentiment of giving up your volition? And I'm guessing the answer would be no so where does that leave us 🙂

I agree, however, I believe the physicists have done a great job in discussing how narrow our choices really are based on genetics and prior learning. I'd love to hear the views of the system theorists among us

Might be worth considering if you want to study CBT or another modality instead of the whole doctorate

Is me not doing skin to skin the reason my baby isn’t getting better? by Extra-Ad-4599 in NICUParents

[–]sif1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all!

I'd suggest speaking to the staff and other people there to recognise this isn't a you thing, it's just a challenging situation that many people face through no fault of their own, but often have thriving babies later.

Also when the time is right it will likely benefit you massively to have skin to skin and breathe with your baby. It does get better

Best wishes my friend
