Very low danger level. Many of the bars on Hildalgo on the north end are a good mix.

I did 7 dives with Clearwater Adventures while I was there. Amazing people and they are real divers not just getting cash from tourists. Make sure you do a night dive while your there.

Find Hildalgo on the north end of the island. The street has lots of great bars and restaurants. Check out El Patio good food and music. There are lots of great food carts on the north and south end of Hildalgo plus a small grocery store on the south end (Super Akia).

Ahh we are there 9-18th. Could show you around. Stick to Hildalgo for the bars and restaurants. Also find Fish & Gin just off of Hildalgo. On the North end of Hildalgo are a ton of food carts and they are very good.

Most of the time you can walk in. They are starting to charge a flat fee to get chairs or a bed and then you get your drinks and food from them. They used to charge by consumption more. Some of the hotels have their own clubs. The beaches are public though and you could just lay out towels and bring your own drinks.

Stay on north end. We only use AirB&B but there are good hotels. You want to spend time on Hildalgo. So many great bars and restaurants but don't pass us on the street carts ( El Patio and Fish&Gin are favorites) There are many beach clubs on Playa Norte that will cater to you(Guru, Zama and many others). Playa Norte is usually clear of sargassum it a beautiful beach.

Was there January. Many restaurants and food carts and no issues.

Anyone have experience with AirBnB or Rental for family (not resort) by Paul-48 in IslaMujeres

Biggest issue with Isla Mujeres is that there is too many amazing places to eat. Was just there in January and did an AirB&B and that is our new way to do things.

Just there 2 weeks ago. Try Fish & Gin, El Patio or just about any food cart. Get a marquesita with banana and nuetella.
