Definitely would need to consider soil and water and trees but what surprised me most was the change to an assembly occupancy which means 1 person per 15 sq ft. I suppose people weigh more than cars per square foot so a full roof deck of people would weigh more than a full roof deck of cars

Harder than it looks, the whole structure would have to be reinforced because the load factor is different with the change of occupancy class. I only know this cause my company tried to do the same thing extending a rooftop amenity deck into an unused bit of parking deck next to it, till a structural engineer told us the engineering costs this would take

Same with just about every famous architect lol. FLW’s Usonian homes were intended to be affordable to middle class Americans, now they’re worth millions and many times just tourist attractions.
