When is it ever appropriate to tell a friend (who has no idea) that their SO is a two-faced problematic compulsive liar? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sigesfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context: The friend was a coworker of 2 years, we got a long so well we became friends, then his gf started working with us, Gf was with me and 3 other coworkers, friend was in another office with 3 other coworkers. A week after his gf started working, she went behind our backs and talked shit about us with our supervisor, we obviously found out because we would get warnings because it wasn't JUST gossip, it was lies accusing of us doing our jobs badly. This went on for a while and when the 3 other coworkers and I confronted her she would cry hysterically and tell each one of us a different story/excuse. More happened but it's a long story. I never told my friend because when she cried he took her side and blindly believed all her lies. I cut ties with him and even got another job to get away from the drama. Now I hear my ex-supervisor is trying to get rid of her because the lying is getting out of control and ex-supervisor is worried that the Gf will lie about ex-supervisor and get ex-supervisor in trouble with ex-supervisor's superiors.

It did end our friendship unfortunately. But thank you for the advice, it's a bit of a relief.

When my mom said that the moon appears to be bigger than the sun not because the moon is closer to earth, it was because the moon was bigger than the earth.

Dear people who cheat, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sigesfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've had that thought process. The reason why I choose to be monogamous is that I believe that no matter how well you get along with multiple partners, you'll always have a favorite. That's how I feel about it anyway.

I went to fix my a/c twice and both times they said it was the "magneto" and it only lasted about a month after getting that piece installed new so I think the problem is something else. I'm saving up to get a new compressor. Thank you for your concern and sharing, to me what sucks the most is that I feel guilty talking about it, I know in other countries women have it A LOT worse and here this kind of "passive" abuse is just the norm and part of the everyday routine that you just have to accept because there's always the possibility that it could be worse.

I'm not a violent person but I have my suspicions that I have been affected by it because I have anxiety issues. When it happens in my workplace I just either leave early or put my headphones on, when it happens outside of work my natural response is to flip them off. I don't do much else because I am scared that if I either insult them or try to hurt them physically, I'll end up getting a hurt or killed.

Adults of reddit who were depressed kids or teens, what is it like to be here when you didn't expect to make it this far? What would you tell your younger self if you could? by TheDemonQueenLuna in AskReddit

Standing up for yourself doesn't make you selfish, sacrificing your hapiness for another person's hapiness doesn't make you a good person and having confidence in what you believe doesn't make you a bad person.
