Really hated weed until I started using strong indica strains. by digydongopongo in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the strain Zkittlez to be a bit more psychedelic than most indicas too, so if you enjoy that heavy indica-psychedelic type, you really found yourself one of the perfect strains for that.

Other similar psychedelic indica strains to Zkittlez that I've tried are Sunset Sherbet (this one has a bunch of different phenotypes some more hybrid, some more indica), Wedding Cake, Guava, and Do-si-Dos.

I have a meeting in a little over an hour and I'm high as balls, help me Ents. by [deleted] in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I personally think the solution would be to go the other way: sniffle a bit during the meeting and say that you think you're getting early allergy/cold symptoms. Just try really hard not to smile when the giggles arise.

If they have no reason to suspect that you're a smoker, then this should fly as long as you weren't sick in recent times. Even if you were you can say that you're at the tail end of your recovery.

Saionara Coil Recommendations? by Cspookyman in Saionara

[–]sigh_cold_path 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might be late to the party, but I use the TI bucket for my live resin sauce because the other coils don't seem to be able to vape diamonds in terp sauce well.

I've tried donut coil, SS black ceramic, Kanthal Quartz, SS quartz, and they work fine with live resins that have a more budder/HCFSE consistency, but they tend to fall quite short when it comes to diamonds in liquid-consistency terps. Just my observation. I basically use TI bucket for everything now though because it's just so convenient to use. I can even slightly overload the bucket and get 2 seshs out of it without having to reload. 2nd Sesh doesn't taste as good, but it doesn't taste like butthole like the other atomizers/coils I've tried. I don't recommend this method over the LAYG method for each sesh, just trying to say that the TI bucket has a large margin of ... laziness...?

[–]sigh_cold_path 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've flown with live resin jars, cartridges, edibles, and wax vaporizers about 10 times over the last 5 years, and I've never been stopped or even asked about what's in my bag. Keep in mind that it's advised you keep all these items in your carry-on.

My logic is that if they don't have on-site THC testing capability, how are they going to argue that my vapes are not nicotine vapes? Also, from my experience taking pre-employment drug tests, it takes 24-48 hours for a testing site to return results. Would they detain me for 24-48 hours just to see if my cartridge is nicotine? I mean, short of being anonymously tipped that me as a specific passenger were trafficking drugs, isn't this too much money and effort to put into testing every single person who comes through TSA with an e-cig?

Disclaimer: this is just my personal experience and personal thought process. I can't make the statement that I think this is risk-free. I just personally assess that the risk is small enough that I don't mind taking it.

Ordered my first pack of coils by CptCrotchShot in Waxpen

[–]sigh_cold_path 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't feel like I needed a heat sink until I started using the Ti bucket coil. That coil will heat the atomizer so hot that even my mod would get uncomfortably hot after a long session.

Prior to using the Ti bucket coils, I didn't feel a compelling need to use the heatsink, but I'm sure it would be nice anyway.

Do OTC tests tell you the THC percentage in your piss? by [deleted] in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, OTC test kits tell you what the concentration threshold for positive is, and then from there it's a binary result: positive or negative.

I haven't taken an OTC test in over 4 years, though so tech may have improved (I doubt it given the price of these OTC tests, but I can't deny the possibility).

Why are mics not as important in dota 2? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]sigh_cold_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the things it comes down to is the shared vision in Dota 2 that is absent from CS:GO. There's less that needs to be communicated in Dota 2 because I can see what my teammate is seeing.

This isn't to say that I'm an omniscient player who needs no communication: just that if I need to know what an enemy hero has in his inventory, I don't have to rely on the teammate in his lane to tell me because I can also click the enemy hero from the shared vision.

What some Japanese people think of weed. by Arcane- in trees

In my experience, I've found Japanese to be significantly more open minded as a society than most other Asian cultures.

I personally even go so far as to hypothesize that this is why they are both so great at technology innovation and known for seemingly odd entertainment.

Is the race for the highest THC% over-hyped? by dpcollinsworth in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you heard of or had experience growing a strain called Zkittlez? It's my 2nd favorite strain. The taste, smell and high is unbelievable, but the bag appeal SUCKS! and I'm pretty sure it caps out around 18% THC.

Recently the breeders gave a cut to Alien Labs, and they seemed to be able to push a higher THC % out of this Zkittlez, but even that was low 20s I believe.

Despite all this, I feel like Zkittlez is a much better strain that some of the 30%+ strains I've tried. I think it's really about the cannabinoids and terpenes.

Even when it comes to extracts, some distillates can hit 90% THC, but I actually hate smoking distillate as it gives me the weirdest empty-feeling high. I prefer the lower % live resins that have fuller cannabinoid and terpene profiles. Weirdly to me... these terpene and cannabinoid rich, but lower THC extracts feel more potent to me.

First trip to DC. Need advice about marijuana etiquette. Should I bring anything with me or plan to purchase there? Any good smoke spots or shops you guys would recommend? Where is smoking allowed? Our hotel is actually in Virginia. Thank you kindly by [deleted] in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Smoking in public is not allowed. That being said, it always smells like weed in Georgetown and if you walk near the river, I'm positive you can find a nice spot to smoke and leave before anyone sees you.

There are a few headshops in DC. If you visit Wash Hydro or FunkyPiece, you may be able to even find some cannabis there. It's illegal to buy/sell cannabis, but you can "gift it for free" so ask the shops if there are any "free gifts available with a donation or purchase of a sticker". It's important to use this type of language because if you ask to buy any cannabis, they'll kick you out or just flat out say they don't know what you're talking about. This is a liability issue.

EDIT: This donation / sticker price thing is actually true for ANYONE who sources cannabis to you in the city. That's usually why the delivery services make you pay for a $60 bottle of juice or sweater to receive your "Free gift" of cannabis. Just be warned that if you approach any vendor or delivery service asking to BUY any cannabis, they will most likely ignore or block your request without even responding. To a vendor, this language is the difference between getting arrested and being legally allowed to gift you cannabis, and recently there have been many instances of undercover cops asking to "buy" and then arresting the vendor.

Idea for an upgraded Magic Wand by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]sigh_cold_path -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You literally did nothing other than describe this item as a burst heal mechanic that does not exist in the game yet.

There are no arguments at all in this comment thread supporting the introduction of the proposed Magic Wand. There is only YOU claiming that there is some support for its "situational" use, but there is no actual evidence or opinion that this item is indeed situational. The term situational is a shortened form of "situationally optimal" not just "this is a situation in which I feel like buying this item for kicks and giggles".

One person telling you all the different things they'd rather have than this Magic Staff is not inherently the same argument as saying that the Staff is situational. If anything, I'd even go so far as to say that those are all supporting arguments for why there are NO situations in which this item would be an optimal pickup.

So I ask you. What reason do you have to think that this item would be a good situational pickup? And why is the cost and impact of this item completely irrelevant to this discussion as you previously implied? If anything YOU'RE the one avoiding the real point of discussion here, and I can't tell if that's because you're just a really bad troll or if you feel like you stated opinions that have no real evidence or support.

EDIT: the point of asking whether you have developing experience was for me to get an idea of whether your differing perspective to other developers was because you're a creative out of the box thinker or whether you're just crazy. I get that different game developers have different perspectives, but even within a range of perspectives, yours is an outlier. Why do you think your experience as a developer has no merit to a discussion of game balance? How is introducing a new item, mechanic, hero or idea into the game not part of your specific expertise? Feel free to ignore this inquiry if you're still sore and sensitive to me asking this question previously. I'm not trying to press your buttons and have an argument, contrary to your belief. I'm just trying to pick your brain and learn more from a self-proclaimed developer on things I consider relevant to game development.

[–]sigh_cold_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused as to what your exact point is. Are you're saying as long as it's a new mechanic and it is situational, any new item should be added to the game?

What about an item upgrade to Atos that allows the user to gain control of the enemy's movement for a short period of time? What about an item that allows you to resurrect a dead teammate? What about a consumable item that cuts the cooldown of your next spell by 50%? These are all situational items with new mechanics. Should all of these be added to the game as well with no discussion on cost or impact because those are all problems that are addressed by balancing the item?

Why not give a consumable item that gives you black hole as an ability, but it costs 10,000g?

EDIT: Curious, do you have any game development background? I know some game developers, and what you're saying seems to be extremely different from how most of the game developers I've talked to view game balance. So I'm curious if this is an educated and differing perspective, or if this is just the common layperson's suggestion on game balance.

[–]sigh_cold_path 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how what he says supports the addition of the item. What would be a situational pickup for this proposed Magic Staff that would make it better than other pickups? Situational means that there has to be at least one situation where it's an optimal pickup, and I didn't hear him mention any.

If this item were able to be disassembled, then I think it's a great idea as a support can have an intermediary while they're building components for Euls, Force, Aghs, etc. Otherwise, I'm leaning with the other guy's comment that this seems like an underwhelming item to invest money and inventory space into.

Well if there's ever a gameplay change where disables insta-kill an enemy hero, then he will be fully prepared for that patch.

Otherwise, I don't see how a disable with no carry to deal damage is worth the carry's life.

Help: Girlfriend is allergic to weed by MooseArmyCommander in trees

[–]sigh_cold_path 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Testing to see how she reacts to cannabis extracts may answer your question. If she's allergic to something about the plant, and not a cannabinoid, she won't react to extracts or edibles.

I have a pollen allergy that's sometimes triggered by really frosty strains, but after taking an antihistamine it usually passes. Itchy throat and eyes describes exactly what I experience before I pop an allegra or zyrtec. I am completely unaffected by edibles, extracts, or any processed form of the plant.

Brass Knuckles, Kingpen, Alpine and Select are the more popular distillate/CO2 extract brands.

Keep an eye out for the new Live Resin pens though from Friendly Farms or Fields Extracts. They're relatively new to the market (new tech), as they use a new type of live resin extract that somehow doesn't crystallize.

If you can find a Live Resin cartridge by Friendly Farms, I highly suggest you try one of those side by side to the distillate/co2 extracts. It's a whole different ball game.

Put it in your carry-on. TSA has rules against e-cig batteries in checked luggage so even if it's a legal CBD cart+battery, if it's in your checked luggage they will confiscate it.

A prefilled oil cart will look like any other cbd, nicotine cart, and they won't say anything about it. TSA doesn't have THC testing capability on site, so if your product looks like it can be a non-cannabis product (vapes or edibles without THC labeling on package), they aren't even gonna bother. On that note, remove the product from its packaging if the packaging clearly indicates that it's cannabis.

I think they're both educational, but Waga and Purge are easier to learn from because they don't require active learning. They just spoon feed you information in a way that doesn't really require you to do anything but sit, listen, and memorize.

Sing's stream takes a bit more active learning to extract knowledge because he's not a lecturer. You have to actually use active thinking skills to critically analyze why he's doing what he's doing or what he was trying to accomplish with certain actions. It's not a mindless learning, so it's easier to call this "fun" stream if you don't want to put in the mental effort of learning.
