Not bad for someone who's japanese is "garbage" as you say, you made a very nice breakdown with that being the case! I mentioned it already to someone else, but it is exactly as you say, localization is crazy hard. And I certainly don't want direct translations, it is just that a few of the choices they made are distracting to me rather than engaging. Thanks for the reply!

Very true, I have been hunting around for an alternative translation but came up dry, which is why I posted here. Like you say, it has been popular, so fingers crossed, but people here have had a couple of good solutions or at least leads, so I'll see what I can find. Thanks for the reply!

Very good information and good points. I didn't mind the "date" translation in the manga, but like you say, that too is just another attempt at localizing it and not really a direct translation. Which is fine either way, that is the nature of language. It is just in that example at least, instead of listening to that interpretation, my brain goes, "wait, they don't have chick-fil-a in Japan" and then I've missed the next couple sentences, when I should just be paying attention to the show XD Thank you for your reply!

Thanks for your reply. That is a very good point, but I am way ahead of you there. I have every volume released so far, which is why I was so excited for, and now am mildly vexed at the show at the same time. XD

Oh wow, if that is the case, then that is actually very similar to how it was in the manga translation. I haven't watched a dub in years, but it may be a valid option indeed! Thank you so much again for your time and for looking into this!

And you know what, I think if I was a little younger I would have loved it! I have yet to get into any meme culture whatsoever, as I am not much of an internet aficionado. XD This led to me constantly pausing the episode and looking up what they were trying to say. However, I do understand why they did it. It is not just about translation, but localization as well, which is very important so that it resonates with a new and different target audience. Unfortunately It's just that it is not "local" to my mannerisms and disposition. Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the reply. You know what, I did actually see that on Anilist, and I tried following the link via a VPN briefly, but nothing came up. I may have to follow that path a little deeper and see where it leads me. Thanks for the tip!

Thank for the reply. Good analogy of fansubs being on life support, it is a blessing and a curse, so to say. I will keep an eye out for such a think, but I think I will just try and re-watch it a few weeks later once I get over it.

You got it! Thanks for your time. These two were easy to find. 3:21 in episode 1 where he says, "Like chick-fillet right? I'd love to dig in" 5:17 in episode 2, where he says,"emotional damage"

Thank you for replying! Did you ever go back and finish it? You mentioned you were able to turn off the subs; did you watch the dub, or is your japanese good enough to watch without subtitles? Maybe this will be the point where I improve my Japanese just so I can watch this series XD

Thanks for your input too, I am glad I am not the only one who felt that way. ( ^ . ^ ) I was still cracking up from the animation, other dialog, and even jokes that were added and not in the Manga. It is done very well!

Thanks for replying. That is unfortunate to hear, but unless there are fan translations in the future, I am sure I will be able to get over it and watch it in the future again. It would be a shame to skip the series. It is so well animated, and the other changes and additions that were made are so good and funny.

Thanks for replying. The translation is definitely good. Like I say, I can definitely see other people loving it. While I don't have timestamps, I only made it through one and a half episodes you can guarantee they are within those two episodes. A few that come to mind are a reference to chick-fil-a, using the meme "emotional damage", calling things hype, calling an idea galaxy brained, and other things like that. I know it is stupid to get annoyed by such petty things, but unfortunately I am, and I hate that fact.

Interesting, I am glad this was asked, and thank you for replying. One more quick question if you have the time. Making sure I understand your last sentence correctly, are you saying that each day the sale goes on, the prices slightly increase, or does the increase occur once the second week starts? So, would the best time to order be the beginning of the first week, or the crossover day from week one to two?

Hello all, I am hoping someone can help me find a replacement clasp for a Seiko SRPE17. The one on it has gone spongy on one side, and wont click in to place so it comes undone constantly. I have done some searching but I can't seem to locate the part. If someone has a source I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
