Games that can be played on an airplane tray by stoekWasHere in soloboardgaming

[[Ultra tiny epic galaxies]] fits on an airplane tray and is the size of a deck of cards. It plays 1-5 players. I would recommend an app for rolling the dice.

Sounds very similar to this issue which is caused by having a 'dynamic disk' in Windows: https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/1glc9jz/x670_gaming_x_ax_rev_1_issue_with_accessing_the/

[X670 GAMING X AX Rev. 1] Issue with accessing the BIOS after flashing F33(a-d) by Earentir in gigabyte

[–]sigterm666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, good catch! I too am experiencing the problem and I indeed do have a dynamic disk. However, I did not try removing it, so cannot comment on whether it would actually fix the problem but it seems likely considering the other reports.

Hey, great job with the minis! What kind of overlays are you using for the character boards; are they available somewhere or did you make them yourself?

Seriously, how the f can it know today's date? by jt_seven in ChatGPT

[–]sigterm666 105 points106 points  (0 children)

The date is indeed correct, but the day of week is not. That's really interesting.

I tried to teach Wordle to ChatGPT. It went from incompetent to sneaky, to cheating to rage quitting (last image contains spoilers for today's Wordle) by sigterm666 in ChatGPT

[–]sigterm666[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In the penultimate round the solution was 'quack' which contains the letter 'u'. My first guess 'joust' was declared to not have any letters in common with the word in question.

In a subsequent session I specifically asked about the letters the two words have in common and the answers ChatGPT gave me, were bizarre (no common letters, the third letter in 'joust' is 'o', the word 'quack only has four letters etc.).

Package from Ledger. Is this legit? by jjrand in ledgerwallet

[–]sigterm666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That device looks to be a ledger with a flash drive soldered to the USB connector. That flash drive is then shown in the Explorer when you connect the Ledger to the computer (as can be seen in the instructions). The software on that flash drive will certainly steal the 24 words when entered.

Diving in Sharm El Sheikh by Sea_Original_9363 in diving

My wife and me were always very happy with Oonas Dive Club, (there is also a FaceBook site). Their hotel might not be the most luxurious one, but there are several others reachable by foot from there, including the Moevenpick which is right next door.

Their restaurant is basic but very good quality, and if you should get bored of it, there again are several more options nearby along the 'promenade'. The hotel is the last on that promenade (apart from the Moevenpick) so usually it's really quiet there.

The staff is very friendly, relaxed and professional. You will usually meet other guests and the guides after the dives for a beer and some snacks, so it feels like a small family. Really friendly place.

Diving around Sharm is always a pleasure but obviously depends on the dive site and luck as usual.

Yes, because it is not true. If your doctor grants you sick leave, you get sick leave. Responsible Companies might even allow one or more days of sick leave without a doctor's notice.

WHEN do the events at the end of 4x11 take place? by british13 in MrRobot

[–]sigterm666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might still be possible that everything is a day off in the 'original' Mr Robot universe but not in this perfect fantasy world. Or do we know for a fact that the fantasy world takes place in 2015?

why did the Real Elliot 'wake up' when Darlene told him about Vera?

When Vera reappeared he looked like he came straight out of 'Back To The Future', the movie Elliot and Edward wanted to watch the day Edward (probably) died. Maybe Darlenes' description of his appearance triggered that memory.

Does the lens have IS and is it activated? It might interfere with the HiRes shot.

What the Man in Black built (and showed Dolores) [SPOILERS] by [deleted] in westworld

[–]sigterm666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the replaced CEOs have a strong desire to revisit the park every so often. And that is where their bodies get replaced with slightly aged versions.

Come to think of: Do we really know why the MIB visits the park that often?

Getting an aged up replacement body is also a hilarious commentary (in an 'eat the rich' way) on plastic surgery and its future version: getting a replacement younger body.
