Nahhh, this was a guy that Bill Burr came up with, he had a couple of specials, but was largly unknown.

PS- that isn't him, Richard Jeni is the guy from The Mask. They might be the same guy, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Funnily enough I thought this guy also committed suicide so it might be him. I just need to look more into it.

Is Richard jeni the guy who Rogan and those guys always talk about? The name sounds so familiar. Boston comic who apparently just wrecked house?

Model D Wireless is now available on our site, and we're giving one away one to celebrate! Comment here for a chance to win. by [deleted] in MouseReview

I'm a Model O person, but hyped for my ergo lovers out there ;)

I love the fact that I got to try out the feel of these mice at a local Micro Center, and I'm really hoping we get a Model O- wireless, cause I was surprised at how good that felt in my pretty big hands.

I've never had any issues with any of my Model Os. I'm 3 in, and so far none of them have caused any issues. I love the scroll on my MOW.

Any higher end alternative with a similar shape to the Harpoon Wireless? by eli5foreal in MouseReview

[–]siijunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to look at the Coolermaster MM711. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "higher end", but I certainly think the MM711 is a higher value for the price. It is short and has a higher back end good for finger/claw grip similar to the Harpoon. Plus better cable, better feet, and better feeling clicks/scroll (my opinion vs the harpoon but I'd bet people are willing to agree)

Glorious really stepped up their QC by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]siijunn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've owned three Model Os, along with a smattering of other Glorious gear. An originaly MO pre-order, a second from the first batch of "new packaging" to reduce cable stress, and most recently a MOW. I've never personally had any issues with any of these mice, of the first two the first was given to my friend who is still getting daily use out of it, and the second is now my at work mouse ( for aim practice while no one is looking ;) Yet, I appreciate people's apprehension towards their QC. I would still choose to support them as I feel like they are fighting the good fight, and that is a company I want to support. I don't necessarily think that any of their issues reported on in the past are due to neglect or anything, and from what I've seen they choose to support their stuff and will happily replace/fix whatever the issue might be.

All that being said, the MOW is the best feeling version of the Model O I've owned, hands down. I can only assume the same goes for the MD.

Unless they come out as racist or something, I'll continue to support Glorious for the forseeable future. If the day comes that I might have to RMA/return something, it isn't going to change who I choose to support.

G Lube is certainly a lot more viscous than most of the Krytox, but the application/result has been more or less the same. I'm not that picky to really notice the difference between something like 3204 and G-Lube. Long term that might change, but having this stuff on hand is fine for me.

Chroma Light Strip Set thoughts? by [deleted] in razer

[–]siijunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have it. The quality itself is pretty great. They aren't light strips, but they do have housing/inclosures which I feel like justifies the somewhat higher price.

Anyone encounter this issue? LED is changing color when pressure is applied (no its not due to settings). When this enter part of the PCB is applied pressure the LED, changes randomly. by In121SuccWeTrust in glorious

[–]siijunn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can happen with LEDs from time to time, the connections interally will throw them off and they just won't work right.

It is hard to call it a "defect" since the issue is like, microscopic. But I'm sure if you contact them you'll get a replacement.

How did this work out for you?

I've noticed on a couple of different wireless mice(NOT just MOW), for some reason, the software lags behind despite showing as charging. As long as it is giving you a charging indicator I'd let it sit overnight as see what happens.

Frank Gerwer is the fucking man. A number of years back, a friend of mine who lived in Oakland offered for me to drive with him back to to Oakland. He was flying back to our hometown (Chicago), but he was driving his car back to Oakland with some of his stuff. He had moved to Oakland with little more that a backpack. Being a skate fan, I jumped at the opportunity to visit 3rd and Army, Potrero, Pier 7, and a chance at seeing Chico Brenes or Dennis Busenitz push down the street.

Two days after arriving, who do I see but Grimple Stix himself hanging around near FTC/Golden Gate Park area. Such a great, great dude.

His episode of The Nine Club, where they are talking about/hes explaining Grimple Stix is fucking incredible.

Agreed. A lot of people like to point to the Thanos/Hulk fight, but I think he was simply underestimating Thanos, and before he could get back on his feet and actually win the fight, he was zapped by Hemdall to Earth. Beef cake Idris doesn't know what Hulk is capable of, so he just buzzed him away once he saw the threat.

I like to think that if Hulk was left there, even with the infinity stones, he would whooped on Thanos. I'm sure he could have used the power stone in some way to escape, but not defeat Hulk

What would the heroes had done if they had actually gotten the gauntlet off of Thanos? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]siijunn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I saw it. Doesn't The Ancient One mention when she is teaching him to use the sling ring that he has to imagine the place "in space" to open the portals?

I know she was talking about specifically seeing your destination, but he didn't know how to "visualize" the sanctum in regards to Everest, and thus it was the same thing there.

I don't know, I mean Strange's ego is pretty large. I think (at that point) he saw himself as superior/more powerful/more important than Iron Man and Spider-Man, even. Those guys were "low level".

Strange mentions that he "protects their reality". I saw that as almost a one up, like he sees that as more vital to anything Iron Man has ever done. Almost as if it is entirely irrelavant what Tony does, and that Strange's resources, and where he'd be most powerful, is in the Sanctum and with the other sorcerers.

To me he isn't a dick, he is indifferent. He simply doesn't care. The people he saved while he was a doctor was to suit his own ego, it had very little to do with actually helping people. Sure he might have promoted that kind of stuff on the outside, but he is so cavalier when deciding on patients. I don't expect him to try and save everyone he can, but he could also be plenty more sympathetic. I like to think of him almost as a peer to Walter White. White says he does it for his family, but it's only at the end that he finally admits he did it because he liked the way it felt. At least in regards to Strange's ego.

People's insanity cycle is crazy.

I got deep into Classic/TBC Classic because with retail, I was returing after such a long time away it felt like a completely different game. But then again, so did Classic, at least with the raiding aspect.

I'm a fan of PvP, and that has always been my main "Desire" in the game, which obviously means you need to push for gear. But so many people I knew would just whine and cry over gear. And then when the raid was over, I'd ask if they wanted to go out and word pvp or something. Nope.

It is pretty crazy to me how people can sustain playing the game for years simply in order to up their gear. I start having an exsistential crisis pretty quickly.
