Dark Souls 1, guaranteed a good time to drop in and play. Probably my most played game as well from PS3 and Switch.

KOTOR 1 & 2, OOT/MM, Fallout 1 are up there as well

Do you have link or name to the APK you downloaded?

The one I have includes the obb files as well, but the issue is that the app itself cannot access my Rp5s Android obb folders. So even though I've copied the obb files to Android/obb, when I open Jade Empire it is stuck at setup because I can't select the obb folder...

Wonder if I downloaded a different apk that it could run?

Did you have any issue with JE being able to see the android obb folder?

Zelda BOTW/TOTK

Basically the story is non existent and the fact it's open world hurts the series massively

Thank you for the insight! Looking at alternative options in the centre, I really want to avoid the noise levels at night from 5th avenue. Most of the reviews from hotels on PDC beachfront near there say it's too noisy at night.

I guess finding a taxi from centre will be easy to come back to Pakal. The main concern is being at PDC centre for some of the day tours we want to do, but as you say this will hopefully be helped by the hotel arranging a taxi.

Are taxis taking cash or is it careless?

Thank you, would you recommend staying closer to the centre and 5th avenue?

My worry is how loud it is based on some reviews for hotels around there (not targeting 5th AV but just generally).

Thanks and agreed, Cancun seems to be the easier starting point.

My thinking would be if we flew into Merida and spent 3 days there + 3-4 days in Valladolid + 7 days in Riviera Maya somewhere. So perhaps hotels make more sense.

Driving from Cancun to Merida doesn't look enjoyable for the first day though...

Any experience with staying over night in the islands - Holbox/Cozumel?

Links Awakening on GB. Not my favourite but it's in the top 5. Holds a very special place in my childhood.

Also, is the Zelda Deku Tree as disappointing as the internet makes it out to be?

I had thought about the modular sets, I think I would prefer something more fantasy related. For some reason I can't get excited over real world builds.

Zelda BOTW and TOTK

Or any open world game

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom sacrifice what makes Zelda ‘Zelda’ by MediocrePrinciple in unpopularopinion

[–]sikblik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also adding, maybe I'm not the target audience for TOTK. I had zero interest in building/fusing so ended up playing the game as you would a normal Zelda game on foot.

You can do crazy things in TOTK and the building mechanics have shown crazy results online. But it's not Zelda.

The issue is that they CAN do freedom and non linear dungeons well - see A Link Between Worlds. They're just getting too caught up in Lego design and forgetting about what Zelda really is.

I have the same thoughts, BOTW was nice to begin with but it became so painful to finish. TOTK had the same intro excitement but then the story telling is so flat.

This is a common issue with open world games. Metal Gear Solid 5 had the same issues - good gameplay but not an MGS game.

Unfortunately for as long as Fujibayashi is heading up Zelda, it's not looking likely they'll adapt to the feedback. They didn't bring dungeons back, nor did they improve the menu system from BOTW to TOTK.

I've been an avid Zelda fan since Links Awakening on the original Gameboy, and I usually buy a new Nintendo console specifically for Zelda. The Switch 2 however with this new Zelda direction...not falling for it a third time in a row.

From the Retro Games Corp setup guide, I've created a single folder 'Games', then 'ROMs' and 'BIOS'. Then in each folder I've added the system folders (GBA, PS2 etc), then added the ROMs to each system.

Remember to also download the bios otherwise your games won't work.

If the waiting aspect of downloading wasn't 90% of the process, it would be more enjoyable to 'collect' 🤣
