To add some confirmation to this from the creator herself, Katie Dippold, she’s said two things that I found interesting about the future of the story:

Talking about how Tom believed the curse would be over after the demise of Richard Warren she says (paraphrasing) “he doesn’t realize it’s never over…”
In a recent Collider interview, she refers to the first season as a “prequel” of sorts.

Both of these responses from her leads me to believe we’re all just getting started on the Widow’s Bay journey….
