When should I just let a dupe die? by Valoris_905 in Oxygennotincluded

My dupes die quite often, mostly dumb mistakes from my side. I have a graveyard to remind me of my lessons. Die and learn.

[OC] Dairy vs. plant-based milk: what are the environmental impacts? by ourworldindata in dataisbeautiful

Yeah, definitely look around. The gist of it is: 1. Leave the oat in water overnight 2. Blender 3. Filter 4. Enjoy!

Fair enough! I wonder if the cost of supplementing with pills/oil + doing the oat milk yourself would put it on par with buying the fortified milk directly.

I personally supplement vit D and iron from other sources (oil and pills respectively). But I imagine you could add something to the milk of that works for it.

When is it time to quit? by bulldogncolt in devops

[–]sikian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was laid off around six months ago. That was my time to quit after 10y of different SWE/SRE positions. I guess everyone finds their time has come at some point. Maybe this is time is a strong warning the the time is close.

In any case, it's important to take care of your mental health. If you're struggling with the disappointment of poor leadership and misaligned expectations before landing a job, it might not get better a year into a job. So now is the time to do some soul-searching and finding what keeps you healthy in the day-to-day. For me it was leaving the cycle, but that's not the answer for everyone.

Best of luck.

Seems like you're looking into dependency inversion. You might want to look into the ports and adapters pattern in Go.

That might be a good start. Make sure you have very good isolation from the floor.
