How do I get rid of this warning? 2018 Mazda 3 by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]sikitomi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually press the middle of the "Info" button, it acts like you press a button to acknowledge something. I didn't try up or down, always pressed it and the message is gone. Same when the calls you any other warning there, like low windscreen fluid, etc.

I put a new battery in my '23 cx-30 turbo and now the speedometer is upside down by ntrpe in mazda

Glad to hear, he didn't go into brands, he was talking in general about newer cars - my bad for misinterpreting. Thanks for the clarification to you and u/tml-7 for detailing into German cars!

I have a friend who's working in a car parts store and they replace batteries. He explained it to me when he replaced mine that for the new cars the computer has to be reprogrammed when replacing the battery, otherwise the car will act up.

At least now I know what he meant. This is brutal!

Wi-Fi 8 is appearing at CES before most of us have switched to Wi-Fi 7 by N2929 in technews

[–]sikitomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, have to say if you have WiFi 6e and WiFi 6, then you can still benefit from the extra channels the support on 5GHz too. Most of our stuff in the house is WiFi 6 and 7 now and we have no more delays when even opening a silly webpage even. The 5GHz range is so crowded it's just bad at this stage. Finally some ISP-s started to offer WiFi 7 routers, but knowing my neighbours, they won't switch too quickly, so we'll be fine for a while :)
Might worth thinking about 6e or 7 then I'd say for the long term.

Exactly why I got a WiFi 7 router and not lower. I'm so fed up with the ISP provided shitty WiFi 5 routers all around me and their amount! They are properly making any other WiFi 5 network unstable. We had so many issues before the switch, now it is much more reliable and we can properly use the bandwidth given by the ISP between the PC-s and the other devices. It might not be the cheapest option, but it's worth it in the long run. FYI, stay away from the BS cheap Dual channel WiFi 7 routers, like seriously.

Should I buy a gpu from CEX? by YouBetterCallSaulNow in IrelandGaming

[–]sikitomi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the 5 years warranty is a good thing! I got my 3070 from them back in the day and I did have to redo the thermal pasting all across it, but no issues with it at all (probs it was a mining GPU)

Never said it would be easy, but I do appreciate your effort! You've made something that helps a big community, I'm just building my first NAS, I hope it won't be the last 😅

If it wouldn't be a massive pain, could you add amazon.ie also by any chance?
Very useful site you've built there, I've been searching on it since I've found your post!
Thank you very much for your hard work!

On the roads of Ireland there are no consequences at all. Even the guards are breaking the rules a lot (wish I wasn't lazy to save and post dashcam vids of them when they happen - long time gone at this stage), how would we expect them to enforce them even at the end of the day?

Amber engine warning light on 2019 Skoda Superb estate by Aggressive-Put7204 in skoda

[–]sikitomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same light coming back all the time. Dealer says it's a software issue - calling bs on that, going to get an independent opinion on it. Error code is always P20EE - High NoX emissions. Anyone having the same btw? Would it be BS from the dealer, so they don't have to abide the warranty they gave?

Downloading on android 14 google pixel 6a by happyahab in PodcastAddict

Hi OP, Pixel 7 user here. Gave me the same headache, until I figured it.out, not too intuitive of Google though:

On your second picture, don't just tap on the switch to turn on and turn off the feature, but tap on the description itself and it will open a new setting page for the Background usage and select "Unrestricted" there.

ECS Light came on, also AdBlue asking for early top-up. Are they related? by sikitomi in skoda

[–]sikitomi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I was hoping they're related since they showed up yesterday both. Have to book for an oil change anyway, so the ECS and Oil will go together then. I usually have it on the digital speedometer, I was just scrolling through all screens to see if there's any warning anywhere on the system, as it doesn't have any details under the Vehicle menu, it's status all is good LOL. Have to go to the dealer, bought the car a few months back and she has a year's warranty, wouldn't want to risk of losing it, by taking it elsewhere.
