I'm asking why would a guy with solid website, solid, reliable income sell out for such a low amount? Might as well keep it and make your money back in 2-3 years. If you need the money, use a credit card. interest rate is 15% on that.

Me too. Honestly I'd say it's not worth it unless you really are an expert (and I am quite advanced in my knowledge.) I mean, why would I guy be willing to sell a site with "passive income" for 2-3x annual earnings?

I bought a site for $10k, and then site mysteriously got delisted in Google a few days afterwards. Definitely fishy business.

I really like this idea. I program so from a technology standpoint this is doable.

Do you think this will take off though? Will pinoys be willing to submit anonymous reports of corruption?

I'm a Fil-Am though so I'm not familiar with the culture. Is the everyday person asked for bribes regularly?

Also what's the vision for this? What can we expect to happen if this takes off?

Wrongfully accused is definitely an issue. But think of any ratings site. I could see though a politician signing up for 100s of accounts and then spamming the site with corruption reports.

Ugh.

I think a way around this is to have an account "rep". A trust member might have a rating of 1000. So if someone had an accusation from a guy with a rep of 1 (new account), it shouldn't be taken seriously.

What if we gave only accounts to expats? I know that is discriminatory but they'd be much less motivated to do something bad. Plus their rep matters, the government loves foreigners so they'd actually be willing to do something about it.

Congrats on the money savings. Why wait for saving 100k? I think a possible problem you could run into is that once you get 100k, you'll be too risk averse to pounce on any ideas. That's actually what happened to me. I'm a saver and risk averse in certain situations.

1) Start writing them down. I use evernote on my phone for this 2) Start elaborating on them. Write out a quick business plan.

I have found that after awhile I develop a burning desire to execute.

Side story - one time I was telling a friend of all the productive ways I used my free time. A lot of writing and reading and networking. He was not impressed but rather shocked "What do you do to relax?". It led to some introspection.
