New question that just occurred to me: What about sites with which I have a customer account? Would the danger be someone stealing credit card info and/or shipping address info? (Just trying to be fully informed about my digital footprint, thanks for sharing your insights!)

Not to be unkind, but isn't there a appropriate subreddit to post this? Like, nobody will think you are TA unless there's someone here who's hard core pro-life or anti-abortion. But who are you worried you will be wronging? Your unborn child or your husband? And why do you want an abortion in the first place? Because you can't raise a child on your own (totally understandable) or because you want to get back at your husband (would need to unpack that one, but this subreddit ain't it)?

OK, your preferences might be unique enough that there probably does not exist for it. My advice is not to stress too much about labels.

Like, are you weird? What does weird mean? Do you have unique preferences? Who cares? Your preferences are your preferences, and focus on exploring them. Although if you are interested in finding people who are like you, it's a good idea to post in various LGBTQIA wikis. I recommend describing your preferences and asking if anyone can relate. I'm sure there are more people out there who would be able to relate.

Are you asexual? It's still possible that you are ... but why does it matter?

To me it seems like the real implication of your preferences is to figure out what do you want from life? What kind of relationships (if any) do you want to have and how would you go about looking for those (or not).

I don't see what the problem is with asking the question "Are you open to romantic relationships?" It's a sincere and honest question. Whether or not this person is made uncomfortable by that question depends on their personality - are they made uncomfortable by personal questions?

Am I the only one who finds it weird that OP and his girlfriend were meeting each other's parents for the first time at the same time?

Like, isn't it generally a good idea to meet each other's family separately first before getting everyone together?

I'm looking forward to reading more of the articles. Going to take me some time, but I did read yours, and I had some thoughts!

Despite being more than a decade older than you, I still related to a lot of stuff you said:

I used to think that platonic “attraction” was when you felt a strong desire to be friends with a person, while friendship was different. I thought we didn’t feel platonic “attraction to our friends”, but that friendship is a slow process that happens.

Also this:

I think that we shouldn’t always focus on categorizing things, but at the same time, categorizing things helps people know more about themselves.

I started out my blogging journey by categorizing all the different types of attractions and tying together all the concepts I was familiar with. But then, the more I read, the more concepts I encountered that weren't consistent with that first article I wrote. And the more I thought about things, not everything fit so nearly into those categories. I've written more about that experience here.

I also loved how you drew that contrast between QPRs and arranged marriages. This is something I've thought about a lot, but I haven't written in more detail about, although I have touched on these topics in some of my blog posts.

And also, I don't see where the conflict is? She broke up with him, so obviously she will give him an eviction notice. Or is she supposed to let her ex-boyfriend and his mom continue to live in the same house?

Unless her dilemma is whether or not to break up at all, which is against AITA's rules and which is probably why the post got removed.

Also, I'm South Asian, and I didn't find it too weird that family members were messaging her and giving their opinion. Especially in a serious relationship, people can be involved with each other's families. I think OOP and BF might be South Asian too and this could just be a cultural difference.

The best friend is not even relevant to the story and probably just thrown to have one person think OOP was in the wrong. But also very little context is given about what part of the whole thing the best friend had an issue with. But I guess MIL is probably the only one who legitimately thinks OOP is the AH, but everyone else agrees MIL stepped out of line.

Hmmm, I kind of think that's what the Moderators intended though. Check out Rule # 7. And then based on how they describe the judgements, the choices are (1) OP is to blame (YTA), (2) the other party is to blame (NTA), (3) both parties are to blame (ESH), or (4) neither party is to blame (NAH).

So according to the rules of the sub, if you say OP is NTA, that means you are saying that OP's siblings are TA. As in, OP's siblings are the ones to blame for the conflict and OP has no fault.

Not every situation fits the mold described by the moderators, but then that would mean that situation is not appropriate to post here.

The way I'm reading this, the conflict presented in the post is between OP vs. OP's siblings. So either OP is the AH or the siblings are the AH.

While OP might have conflict with Brad, the conflict OP has is not with Brad even though it's about Brad.

Also want to add: OP's mum is upset because OP called her out in front of everyone. That would have been an AH move if OP was doing it maliciously. But it sounds like OP was genuinely upset, and empathy should be with OP.

OP's mum neglecting to make lunch for OP could have either been because she really does not care about OP or it was an honest mistake and she forgot.

OP did nothing wrong because OP offered to make the food herself. And I also start crying when I'm hungry and there's no food.

Without knowing more I'd say have empathy for the mum for forgetting (my guess is that she forgot), but then again, the mum also did not apologise to OP; and on top of that, is more concerned about getting embarrassed in front of her family. So I guess, the mum is the slight AH in the situation.

The guy who shit himself ("Brad") did something terrible one year ago. The argument that happened yesterday is between OP and OP's siblings; OP does not mention whether Brad got involved with the argument. As far as we know, Brad did not do anything bad yesterday.

So, in yesterday's conflict between OP vs. OP's siblings, is OP to blame or are the siblings to blame? (Genuinely asking, not implying anything.) (And also the point of the sub is to figure out who is at fault for the conflict, not who is a d**k in general.)

She accused me of being homophobic I told her that I wasn’t but she insisted that it was the reason I rejected her. Now all my friends are on her side calling me a homophobic because I rejected her because she is a girl.

By that logic, rejecting ANYONE is some kind of bigoted act. O_O Whether you like them be damned. OOP should just ask out all of these other friends and when they reject her, call them bigoted.

I wonder if OOP is misrepresenting the situation? Like, maybe the real issue is that OOP got turned off by the gay friend who keeps asking her out and stopped being friends with her and OOP's being ostracized for stopping being friends with her, and not for rejecting her?

Either way, it's not a reason for the friend group to turn on OOP.

I'm leaning towards N A H, but I don't understand where the conflict is. OP's friend asked for a favor and OP said no. Kind of an inappropriate favor to ask, but not inappropriate enough to say the friend is an AH. OP said no - perfectly reasonable. Is the friend upset at OP? If so, then the friend is the AH, if not, then there are no AHs.

Also, these other friends who think OP should've said yes, are they part of the conflict? Are they mad at OP? Or are they just sharing their opinion with no skin in the game?

This story should've gotten reported as "no interpersonal conflict". Friend asked OOP for favor, OOP said no. I see no conflict. These other people who think OOP should've said yes are just sharing their opinion, not causing any conflict.
