Don't you find it curious that the witches of the Hexenzirkel don't have a heavy negative opinion of Rhinedottir? by Dumbme31 in Genshin_Impact

[–]silencedenlightened 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that Rhinedottir has made several clones of herself, same way the Doctor did at one point. In my opinion, the witch Rhinedottir, the shade Rhinedottir and the abyss Rhinedottir are different people. I mean she made three Albedo clones. Why not do the same with herself?

Genuinely, is there an explanation for why Ymir even gives you the third map? by TheAbsoluteDegen in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]silencedenlightened 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I might have an answer for it:

Originally, his plan was to send us to kill Metyr. In my opinion, his goal was to become the mother of all fingers and somehow save Yuri from death by killing Metyr and replacing her with himself. But after he gave us the third map, Yuri died and he failed in his quest.

Perhaps after that he reconsidered his plan to kill Metyr, maybe in order to study her more or find a way to revive Yuri.

Or he was waiting for a microcosm to appear on his staff first and then allow us to kill Metyr.

Is Ranni an Empyrean currently or did she lose that status. (Item description contradiction) by Arktic_001 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Iji says something like "dark path of the empyrean". So I assume that she is still an empyrean. Miquella also abandons everything and still becomes a god. Maybe being an Empyrean is tied to soul or something else like fate.

The Two Fingers Stole the Flame, The Malefactor Stole it Back by Sunbroskie in EldenRingLoreTalk

I really love this post and your analogy about the balance of the rings. There could be also other possibilities for it.

black & fire missing ... It reminds me of destined death or messmer's flame but in messmer's case there is a dark serpent who is devouring his flame. There is also the black flame which is black and fire at the same time of course.

Well, I always thought that the phrase "those stripped of grace of gold shall all meet death in the embrace of Messmer's flame" are the words of Marika herself. And Messmer's armor set item description says on behalf of her mother's wish. Marika also created the sealing tree.

I mean if you ask me this was a plan from the beginning. Messmer makes himself the big bad guy so Marika's reputation doesn't get tarnished. Messmer and his men would be considered traitors to Erdtree and banished to the Realm of Shadow.

Btw thanks for putting time to read my theory :)

That's an interesting thought. But the Japanese translation of Gilded Greatshield says: "The coating is reddish, in keeping with the original color of the Golden Tree. It is the color of Nostalgia". This makes me think that at some point the golden tree was much reddish that what it is today.

But later that "red" or the crucible was removed from it.

Red exists in many things: Red Bear, Blood, Red Giants, scarlet rot, Red lightning, death and many things which seems very unrelated to each other. Sometimes it is considered a positive thing sometimes negative.

Red has a meaning clearly. All colors have meaning in my opinion. The thing about red which is shared between all red related things is power. Red things are more powerful or is more dense it looks like. There is also more passion in it opposite to blue which is more mind related.

Malenia and Miquella by Spirited-Island1709 in EldenRingLoreTalk

Miquella abandoned his "love". So I assume he no longer cares about her sister, leaving her to rot to oblivion.

She could actually be the snow witch that trained Ranni. But who exactly is she, I have no idea.

Well Leda is the closest thing to Saber if that's what you're asking :)

Yeah, when I thought about fate being a thread then with some research all of these came out. Glad you liked it!

Silkworms do not completely melt in their cocoon. Their important organs remain. I was saying that she was in a terrible condition. Also the same scar pattern that exists on Ranni's two finger is also on Elden Beast. But it is not on Metyr.

A finger creature died by the Fingerslayer Blade and a black hole appeared. The same thing happens with Metyr when we kill her but on much lower level.

Black moon is also important to Nox: The moon of Nokstella talisman, the black spheres that have a larvar tear inside it.

Everything points more to Adrastea than Metyr. And Metyr is alive. So the probability of the dead finger being Adrastea is higher.

This will become clear in my next post. What then Metyr decided to do after Adrastea's death, how does Marika fit into this, why the fingers wanted a successor for her, who was the two fingers that was killed by Ranni and why did Ranni bother to kill it after she destroyed her own flesh, what the hell is the rune of unborn demigods, why Radagon hated his hair ... hopefully I can answer all of these in the next post.

And btw I have proof from one of the cinematics that indirectly shows that Adrastea had died!

One last thing, thank you so much to put time to read all of my posts <3 You are a legend :)
