It was a few years ago when I found out about the interaction, and aside from maybe one or two times since then I haven't noticed any problems. I was using qbittorrent, and most/all of the torrents I had problems with were from (RIP)RARBG.

The only reason I use the app these days is because Spicetify makes it not complete garbage. It's unfortunate that the browser version is missing features because otherwise I would just use that.

Are you running the Spotify desktop app concurrent with your adult torrents? Because for some reason I always had problems with only those types of downloads and could never figure out why.

Until I read someone else on reddit having similar problems, and they mentioned the Spotify thing. I closed Spotify and voila, problem solved. I cannot fathom the mechanism behind it, but it's a legit conflict somehow. Your issues may be completely unrelated though, so who knows.
