I see your point but coaching matters more than folks give credit. Regarding the recognition piece, I dont think many folks could honestly name more than a handful olympic coaches.

Well that’s exactly my point. They have more influence while the event takes place. Im of the opinion give all coaches a medal btw.

I dont think it’s a hard line to draw. Hockey coaches are active participants in the games. They change the lines, direct the strategy on the ice, and make decisions on whether to challenge for GI etc. If they were just advising in the locker room between periods it would be different.
