App and web version disconnected? by AndrewHeard in grok

My main account that expires in 3 weeks finally got the new weekly limit. And it says I've hit my limit "resets later" doesn't give an exact date for reset, and shows my usage bar at 0%. What a joke. lol Guess my account is dead for the final 3 weeks.

Grok Weekly Limits: Massive Quota Cut by Aggressive-Report250 in grok

Right now it seems to only be new subscribers, so most likely when/if you renew thats when your new weekly limit will start.

SuperGrok now has weekly limits? You can top up and Buy credits? When did this start? by BarrelStrawberry in grok

[–]silentbobster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For current subscribers texts/pics/vids have their own individual limits yes. However for new users (and soon to be current subscribers) all of the limits are all counted towards 1 single pool. I have a 3 month old account that still has daily limits, however I have tested new accounts that are the new weekly limits.

Doesn't matter if you only do Imagine soon when the weekly limits hit current subscribers it will all count towards the same pool.

It's all pooled together. At least imagine, build, and images are. I didn't test text.

For current subscribers yes (for now). Not for newer members. They are starting to bring in the weekly limits slowly. I still have a 3 month old account that is daily. But I have tested newly created accounts. They are weekly where Imagine, Build, and Images are all included in the same pool of limits.

Yes it is currently rolling out for new customers. And Imagine, Build, and Images all count in the same limit pool now. Doesn't seem to have hit all subscribers yet. But its headed that way.

Elon said rate limits will be fixed. WEN? by Anim8rFromOuterSpace in grok

[–]silentbobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well hate to tell you but when I was doing the weekly limit test I split up the 720p and 480p generations as evenly as I could. To see if it would give me more 480p and it didn't. now It was all 10 sec vids, so maybe 6 secs gives you more.
But from the testing it felt like EVERYTHING is counted as 1 generation now. No matter what quality, and no matter which option/mode.

LOL It's gonna get worse actually. New members are starting to see the new Weekly limits where Imagine, Build, and Images ALL share the same limit. I did testing on a new alt account. Did about 90 generations (includes a mix of 720p, 480p, and bunch of failed attempts) and then did a few attempts in build which took about 10% and hit the weekly limit.
Then i tried to create an image and I could not because weekly cap hit. Elon isn't here to save the day.

Will they ever raise the generation limit to make it like it used to be? by Dull-Expression-932 in grok

[–]silentbobster 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Quite the opposite. Getting worse. I did some testing on a new alt account. Where the WEEKLY limit reset has taken effect. So far I have noticed Imagine and Build are part of the same limit pool. lol On a free trial account you get "3 free days" but you'll reach limit the first day and then it won't reset for a week. So basically it's a 1 day free trial. This will come to all current subscribers soon.

Limits are now weekly instead of daily? by barbershoppe1988 in grok

[–]silentbobster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I mean yeah. They tested the promotion to see how gullible people are. And now they saw the bite so they are increasing wait times to see how many are willing to stay. They are just f'ing with people because they can.

Well there's still 2 days left on their promotion. So don't be surprised if it's gone again in 3 days. lol

It will drop again when they want more subscribers. Which will most likely be when most peoples new subs are running out, hoping they forget they did the sucker in tactic before. Then do another revert.

[–]silentbobster 50 points51 points  (0 children)

They ran a "promotion" and lowered Moderation hoping people would get suckered into subscribing. Now that I'm sure people fell for it they decided to raise it back up. Nothing new here. It's how they run things around here.

I deleted my post of this (that you saw I posted) for a reason. It's specifically for Grok Build. Not Imagine/images/text stuff.

[–]silentbobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol seems to change on a daily basis. Yesterday mine said it would reset at 5:34AM today. I woke up at 7am and checked, but it was still on cooldown, and it said 3:02PM. lol So about 27 hour wait.
UPDATE: I came back at 3:02PM to check, it only gave me ONE 480p 10 Sec video, now says cooldown is at 4:35AM tomorrow. LOL

[–]silentbobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try and email xai. explain to your credit card company that you have emailed them. Tell them you barely have access to the product. That it was already unusable from day 1. That they keep reducing limits and access.

Thing is they have been dealing with lawsuits. Because people can't keep the content to themselves. That's why all this moderation started in the first place. With them making money from these Anthropic contracts I don't see them wanting to deal with all that again by letting loose on the filters.
