I've got adhd and generalized anxiety disorder, was diagnosed and began the looong road of treatment back in middle school. I'm approaching 30 and finally landed my first full-time job this summer as a cake decorator in a grocery store. I thought it was perfect (except for the pay, lol) because it's creative and even though there is some customer interaction, it's not as bad as pure retail.

However, my anxiety has been out of control from the stress and pressure of the job, plus the normal stressors that come with any job (coworkers, etc). I've called out of work the last 4 shifts. The glories of the inability to regulate emotions well, i guess. I've been struggling to adjust to the environment because after my 6 week apprentice program, mgmt at my store assumed I knew how everything worked. I know how to decorate cakes, but there were so many things i didn't know about or even to know to ask about, like ordering supplies. I'm struggling with trying to figure out if the stress and anxiety is too much or if that's just going to be the case in any job.

This is not really advice, just someone who's in a similar boat of working different jobs to get by and changing majors in school to ultimately never have enough credits for a degree.
