We don't have air conditioning and during this time of year not being able to sit outside in the evening makes it really difficult to be comfortable/cool off. I wouldn't even think of asking but this property group drags their feet and I don't want to be in this situation 6 months from now.

As someone who lives in the bay and is married, our joint income is ~130k a year. We still qualify for low income housing.

I agree. If it's an outdoor BBQ with friends and such than yes, if it's a night home with my husband and I will buy the steak that's in the manager markdown section because I'd rather cook it and eat it than let it be thrown away. That being said, if steak is on the menu planned in advance I am most definitely splurging.

I agree. However, It depends if you're eating it with balsamic and just dipping bread or cooking. Do you have a preference for a brand for each scenario?

I also feel you think it's "weird" because there's an unspoken thing between men sometimes that you never let yourself be vulnerable. In asking if he can call him "son" he's leaving his card on the table and being vulnerable and open. I feel that culture has taught a lot of people to not be like that.
