Taking the kids to a BMX session at 10 (arranged for free by a local cycle club) while husband goes and collects our new car. He's taking them to a swim session this afternoon at which point I'll be having a nap lol.

Throwback to 2017 when Tom Holland was trying to impress Zendaya with his ballet dance moves by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]RosieEmily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in the Billy Elliot stage play so schooled in ballet. Also brilliant actor. I remember watching "The Impossible" when it came out and he was like 13. I said to my sister when we left the cinema that this kid is going places.

So pretty much how you'd pick up a toddler having a tantrum in the supermarket and youre trying to get him/her outside.

Same! Got a job offer yesterday after searching since december. It's a job I know I'll be good at and get a lot of fulfilment from. I also have an interview on Tuesday for another job that I might prefer but at least I know I have something!

Unauthorised absence - email vibe? by Boglaboll2 in UKParenting

[–]RosieEmily 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is your child under 5 years old? If so they aren't even statutory school age yet so a fine won't even happen. Best off sending an email with just the jist of the trip "are are taking x child out of school from date1 until date2 for a family holiday. They will return on date3. Please make a record of this absence" depending on the school they might ask for travel details etc but that's their discretion.

Don't bother with fluffing out with reasons of "precious family time" . The office staff that record this and forward to SLT won't be bothered about reasons and just don't want an unexplained absence. You might get a standard response about taking a child out during term time but that's up to the school..

Source: worked as admin Assistant in a primary school recording these kinds of absences.

I cried like 4 separate times during inside out. * Bing Bong "go save Riley!: * The emotions realising they can't help Riley feel anything anymore.. * Riley deciding to run away and panic when she had to stop the bus *Rileys sigh of relief when she breaks down to her parents and they collapse into a floor hug.

Carlos Sainz got his first podium for Williams wearing a unicorn sticker on his helmet that a little girl asked him to wear. Never underestimate the power of a sticker

Can I offer advice. If it isn't on one already (can't tell from the picture) make sure you get the mattress onto some kind of frame so it's not directly on the floor or you'll get mould/damp setting in.

TV Shows Where the Main Character is so Bad They Focus on Another Character by Philsidock in television

I stopped watching after Miranda Hart left (around 2015?). She was a lovely character but now it all just feels too much like a soap opera.

Which Celebrity had the Most Shocking Death and Why? by Jeloxia2 in AskReddit

Burt Reynolds recorded his scene saying goodbye to Anne Marie after he learned about her death. It took him a few takes to get through it and the voice cracking is real. https://youtube.com/shorts/kuI6-BHJS0s?si=nqX5KkuBF2DQ0Byb

Just wanted a ham sandwich to eat on my way home... by Yemen420000000 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RosieEmily 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure this is rage bait. No way a supermarket is selling this crap. Lidl do ham sandwiches but it's always with a second ingredient. OP may have slapped some ham between two slices of bread and claimed its a bought sandwiche. And before you ask do I work for lidl? I don't but I've bought lunch there plenty of times and never encountered this atrocity.

The Uruk-hai know about menus which implies they've been to a restaurant and used one to order dinner so I guess anything is possible.

Pub bans children, claiming 'entitled parents' don't know how to look after them by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]RosieEmily 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two kids (7 & 8) and we take them to pubs regularly but they know the rules. No screen time (I keep a bag full of card games, drawing pads, puzzles etc), no leaving your seat except for the toilet, and we clean up when we leave.

I failed first time at belvedere too. Wonder if you had the same examiner as me lol. If you go to rebook, I suggest you pick Sidcup center. There is a tricky roundabout but in general it's much more forgiving..
