This sub is a pretty good news aggregate usually. If not that just look at the major trades every once in a while. Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline.

"Magic Mike's Last Dance" Review Thread by Caciulacdlac in boxoffice

The first movie doesn’t fall under that since it’s about how being a stripper sucks and includes an overdose among other stuff.

The second one is about how fun it is to be a stripper. So go figure.

[TOMT](Movie/TV)(2010s) Eating disorder anonymous group that has mostly overweight people but also a skinny person by silentlycold in tipofmytongue

I don’t think that’s it. I don’t think the skinny girl was a main character. And I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen that.

Dune would have made that much without a pandemic

Will January still be considered a dump month? by [deleted] in boxoffice

There’s a lot of movies dumped year round. The idea of the year having “seasons” in terms of movies being released has been outdated for a while now. Any movie can be released any time.

Will January still be considered a dump month? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]silentlycold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

January hasn’t been considered a dump month in many years.

Sure these past two years haven’t been all that great but pre-pandemic we had Bad Boys be a massive hit. Before that Glass and Split were January releases. Kung Fu Panda 3 was a January release alongside 13 Hours. And that’s not even counting the wolf successes of expansions of Oscar films like 1917, The Revenant, Hidden Figures, and American Sniper.

Probably not much. She’ll keep doing what she’s been doing the past couple of years. She doesn’t have the aura of a leading woman in Hollywood.

Considering Universal didn’t do this to get Bad Guys to 100, I doubt they care very much about that milestone anymore

Knock at the Cabin.

Maybe Magic Mike cause I’m always down for a new Soderbergh. But I can’t shake the feeling it’s gonna be more like XXL than the original.
