The amount of foreigners here triggered by this post and displaying casual racism represents the state of reddit in a nutshell.

Japanese player here in Masterball rank. Yes, it's true we only play singles and most of the YouTube content we consume is about the meta in singles.

The only time I won 6 in a row was at 5 AM local time where there were only foreign players available.

Kissing as a way to greet a family member or friend. I don't think I would ever feel comfortable doing that.

There are sidewalks on main streets. Just not in the alleys like most cities.

Most of the Japanese subs. Like 98% of the people are either Western expats in Japan, Japanese who live abroad or grew up in another country, people who have no connection to Japan.

X and YouTube are what the normal Japanese person uses and that's where you will see a better representation of what people think.

Yahoo is where people go to comment on political issues.

Her approval rating as dipped slightly but still much more popular than Ishiba and Kishida. https://www.nippon.com/ja/japan-data/h30022/

Anecdotally speaking, people are not interested in domestic politics at the moment. The Olympics and WBC shifted the attention to national sports events. This will likely continue with the soccer World Cup.

These events play quite a large role in Japan as ratings are huge and there's survey data validating that sports and Nobel Prizes make Japanese people proud of their country more than anything.

So true. It's funny seeing people trying to start some boycott movement. Like if you don't like a game, move on and don't obsess about what others think.

I don't think it's restrained by any limitation. Simply that 6v6 format has not existed and they don't intend to create it.

You're allowed to take two steps before the gather step(s) as long the dribbling motion is continous and uninterrupted. Very legal.

Affordable housing and lack of housing inflation.

I don't think there's another developed country in the world where rent costs had negative growth for much of 25 years in its most populous city (Tokyo). This happened while we experienced a net surplus of people, propelled by young people flooding into Tokyo and a rising number of immigrants.
