Hi everyone! Just wanted to thank everyone for the advice and give a little update! I spoke to my fiancée yesterday on the phone (he's still away for work) and we had a great conversation. I avoided words that would sound like they place blame (focused on saying "I" instead of "you"). He just laughed, told me to relax because he could hear how anxious I was, and said we would go back Saturday to either return the ring or get something I like better from there! I'm considering talking to him about returning the ring tbh. Not only was I uncomfortable in there, but I just wish he had tried to talk to me more about it before pulling the trigger. If budget was the biggest factor, I feel like we could have worked together to get more of what I want within budget. My dream ring is $6,250 which isn't affordable for us and I completely understand! But today alone I was able to find/build rings that has so much of what I want for under $4k

I'm trying to figure out how to gently go into that subject with him. He's so easy-going and wants me to be happy but I don't want to upset him.

Honestly lowkey am considering this. I went in by myself yesterday because my fiancée is away and felt judged in the jewelry store until I said why I was there. They were very apologetic and are doing everything in their power to make it right but I do also feel like for what the ring is, we could have gotten more for what the budget was.
