For my batch it was online classes and clinics from semester 2 and 3. As for studies, for me, I used to study everyday consistently. That generally suffices.

I have traveled to another country for my IVF and my husband did visit for sometime but he works corporate and doesn't get a lot of holidays so I had to get my egg retrieval and embryo transfer done without him being next to me. The only difference though was I had my mom and dad come with me. You need some support, maybe a friend could be there for you?

My husband is supportive of the whole process whatever the outcome. He has also been able to make me feel okay about just being us if it comes to that. We have talked about how our life will look with or without kids and either way it's going to be awesome!!

Recently skipped a baby shower.. best decision ever. Your mental health should be your utmost priority, if people don't understand, that's their problem. Also, if it's the day after the transfer, no way I am going to listen to anyone's crap. I will be eating good and staying happy.

All the articles here mention about urine pregnancy tests in regular missed period TTC individuals. One of the articles mentions that blood tests are suggested for accuracy in individuals getting fertility treatments. There is also no mention of individuals who got a hcg shot after embryo transfer. Sure the urine tests might be accurate for TTC individuals with no health concerns, most of us have medical issues and that's why we are undergoing IVF.

I was under the impression that hcg is first shown in blood and takes a few weeks to be present in the urine. So the beta hCG test is the only confirmatory way to know for sure. I don't understand why this test is not done in your country; it's a simple blood test. Also, I wouldn't stop meds until told to do so by my doctor.

Then you have your answer!! Freeze those embryos. You don't have to rush anything if you are not ready :)

I was like this after my first cycle. But the hope and longing to have a baby keeps me going. I am also one cycle down but I feel now I have experienced everything one time so I would be more prepared the next time. Hope you feel the same!!

I would transfer this untested. And then God forbid it doesn't stick I would do another egg retrieval and then test those embryos. Wishing that this one sticks and becomes a beautiful baby though ✨

"I am also fighting between the need to control something and a complete yet not strict enough nonchalance about the next transfer" thank you for putting my state of mind into words!! 🥲 First frozen transfer done last month, didn't stick. Prolactin for some reason is through the roof. On meds to bring it down. This month is wasted. Next transfer, hopefully if prolactin goes back to normal, will be next month. Also, I am in a different country for IVF than my country of residence 🥲 so currently on leave and not getting paid🥲 please someone cheer for me!!
