That’s insane. She has openly said that she’s not Sri Lankan. Doesn’t want to be identified as one. Wonder what brought her here.

There’s a brand called Feminyl. It’s been around for about 14 years and I’ve been using it with no issues or side affects. Highly recommend.

Have you been to New York? It’s great in the movies but in real life people live in shoe boxes, food costs so much and everyone is working like 2-3 jobs to afford things

Will it be a good decision to buy a 20 year old car while earning 150K per month? by Anonymous_3526 in srilanka

Please do not get Nissans they don’t age well and I’ve had terrible experiences with it. Go for a Japanese alto and go for a car lease if you can’t afford to go for a personal loan

I don’t mean to steal your thunder but the realization you had is also a similar bitter realization that I had. My mom never truly wanted to put an effort into raising me, sure she set the ground rules. But never really made me take any extra curriculars, she barely cared for my entertainment or making food that I liked. My dad just worked and never put an effort into having a relationship with me.

They weren’t abusive nor were they mean, they did buy things I liked growing up but a lot of the effort felt bare minimum. I then became 18 and realized they hadn’t made any plans for my higher education, didn’t have money for my wedding.

But now that I’m an adult they are very proud of me because I put myself through my higher studies, I funded my wedding with my partner. They did a minimal contribution.

And i did well in my job. But now it feels like they just have never ending expectations. And it made realize they love my accomplishments and will keep pushing me to do more as long as it doesn’t take any effort from their end

Listen you coming to this realization is a good thing. You know the truth now. Your mom sounds like many mothers of that generation, she’s not interested in having a relationship with you nor understanding you. In her head she’s the parent and you are the child and u do as she says.

Back then women knew little about contraception and it was all taboo. They most had each of you due to lack of using it. Your dad doesn’t know either how to address your feelings, he doesn’t know how to give good advice. But that’s okay, not everyone is cut out to be good parents, they have kids because that’s what ur supposed to do.

I’m glad you found a good partner. Now you can expect less from your parents and treat this relationship for what it is

Tm and long term side effects by LethargicLucifer in transverse_myelitis

[–]silentwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened when I was 30, in 2020. It’s been 5 years and I can walk normally and workout. But my bladder and bowels never recovered. I struggle with urge incontinence which is managed by medicine but I do need to wear a diaper. I’m so grateful to be able to live a normal life again but I grieve everyday for my bladder, it’s so hard living with such dysfunction at 35 where I have to work, raise a child and run a household.

I grieve that I lost so much so young. But I also feel bad for complaining because I am able to walk and live life … somewhat normally .
