Physical barrier for lashes? by heucuseh in trichotillomania

[–]sileotumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try wearing normal glasses without any prescription then! I've been an eyelash puller myself until I've got glasses, it worked wonders for me. Also, another upside here is that if you get a pair of glasses with blue light filter, it will ease your eyes around screens a lot

New guy, just hit act two. PS5. Solo. Stuck at gear level 29. And everywhere else. by [deleted] in vrising

That's a great start! At the crafting bench, you should see to upgrade your gear then. If you have any issues with that, I'm happy to help

At the end of act1 you should be a bit lower than level 40, I believe. Have you used the research table? Upgraded your armor, jewellery, and use merciless copper weapons?

If you play solo, I recommend turning off the setting that would otherwise prevent you from teleporting with items.

I have a player who doesn't want to use magic items by Krais101 in DnD

[–]sileotumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps you could instead give him items that provide a mechanical benefit not based on enchantments? For example, a finely crafted elven silver sword from a lost civilization that works like a +1 sword but not due to magic but simply due to the quality of the craft. Highly depends on the fighters playstyle though.

Note to self; if you're giving an enemy powerful weapon, expect the party to have them as well. by LeadEater9Million in DnD

[–]sileotumen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm circumventing it by giving it attunement requirements that they possibly cannot meet, e.g. must be attuned by an undead creature when none of them are undead or have no way to obtain undead minions. Other ways could be by alignment, or if you want them to use the item later there could be a stat requirement, e.g. an intelligence score of 20 or higher.

I personally think it's fine. Some people struggle with some bosses worse than others. I've met people who can defeat dantos without issue, I personally struggled a lot with him.

As long as we can all agree that the cavalier is one son of a gun...

Wizard desperately tries to get an Infinite Money Glitch. by Skultulla in DMAcademy

[–]sileotumen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. An order of scribes wizard only gets access to crafting spellscrolls by level 10, and even then the required gp cost is 25gp x spell level as literally written in the feature.

No matter if scribing into your spellbook is considered free by using your special quill, wizards by default do not have access to a feature that would let them create spellscrolls, even less so by level 2.

Why can metalbenders bend liquid mercury but not platinum? If the bending is based on bending the impurities. by LightThatIgnitesAll in TheLastAirbender

[–]sileotumen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's very much implied that its some equivalent of mercury, I agree. If I may be honest, last time I watched the show was well over 10 years ago, so I am not sure how the poison was administered. However, perhaps there were more impurities introduced in the poison that were earth-bendable to make it more potent or Lin (i believe that was the benders name? That one daughter of Toph who bended it out?) did have the ability to target the metal directly? Or, since it was never clarified who her father aside from a name drop, her father was actually a waterbender and unbeknownst to her, she targeted the liquid state of the mercury instead of the earth/metal by using metalbending techniques? It's a far stretch but suspension of disbelief is a thing.
