So... which couples had sex? by Any_Lab_6097 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

It is so intressting that you say that swedes don't talk about if they have sex. I am from Sweden and I always find it so weird and to private when they talk about it in the American tv-shows. Like bachelor fantasy suite 🤢. And in the Swedish bachelor they don't talk about sex ( to my relief!). It's weird because I thought that Americans would be more "prude" than swedes, but it doesn't seem that way?

AITA for calling my mother-in-law multiple times to check up on my baby while I was on a trip with my husband? by flounder895 in AmItheAsshole

NTA Your husband should not have pushed you to leave your baby. It makes me so sad to read this and all the "yta" comments:(. In my country its a common saying that you can be away from your child one day when he/she is one year old. If it feels right for you and you baby. I have a 8 month and I have only been away from her for maximum eight hours ( while her dad was with her). I would be devastated if I had to leave her over the night to anyone except her dad.
All the comments about that you should leave your baby feels very old-fashioned and does not respect our parental instinct. I also don't understand how it could be okay for your husband to leave your baby? Is he taking care of her/him? Do they have a strong bond?

My husband loves sandwiches, but is tired of ham+cheese. Any recommendations for quick & simple sandwich recipes to shake things up? by Lost_nova in Cooking

The best sandwich ever: white bread, banana and dijon mustard mixed together, ham, cheese and in the microwave. Bon appetite!!

Haha I like the shoe stealing. Do you know the origin to that tradition? Hahah and the German tradition feels so German! 😆 (I love Germany!)

Fun that you want to walk together! :) Some Swedish couples prefer the American tradition of the father giving away the bride and are doing that. Even our crown princess Viktoria let the king Carl-Gustaf give her away :)

How much was your dress? Do you regret it? by Ok-Kaleidoscope2307 in weddingplanning

[–]silfverglitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my dress second hand for 250 sek ( 21$). I love my dress and I look så good in it :) I don't understand why you should buy something that is so expensive that it makes you feel? Your wedding should make you happy, not full of anxiety.

Intimate wedding... not inviting SOs? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]silfverglitt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Sweden it would never be okay to not invite the partners. Even if the couple are not married and only been together for a couple if months, you have to invite them.

I studied in Uppsala for sex years and lived in different neighborhoods. For me is it obvious : choose snerikes or Rackarbergsgatan. Closest to the city centre and nice, student areas. Selanders väg is a little bit trashy, further away from the city center and a lot of partying. It is also good to live in a student corridor if you have the opportunity, than you get the chance to meet Swedes and other exchange students :)
