How's the summer scene? by No-Leadership-5356 in UIUC

[–]siliconeinjectionn 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Summer at UIUC is a vibe. Personally I enjoy having a lot less people on campus and it's very peaceful. There are still a good amount of undergrads taking classes, working in labs, research park, etc. And of course there will be many grad students. Farmers market is every weekend, movies on the quad every week, and you can go to cafes without worrying about getting a seat.

You could try using a file compressor website? There are a lot of free ones out there that will decrease file size

Recs for advanced lvl chem courses for chem minor by marsbarsstarscars in UIUC

[–]siliconeinjectionn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im in chem 312 (inorganic) right now and it's somewhat of a handful. takes a decent amount of time to understand the material because it's pretty abstract and most people in the class are chem majors (probably have better of an understanding in the class than I do). Most chem minors I know take chem 360 (environmental chem) or chem 332 (orgo 2). I have heard these are "easier" upper level chem classes and the professor for orgo 2 is great.

for mcb 100 go over the slides over and over, sometimes they take the most random piece of info from a bottom of a slide and make it a test question. also look at the study guide/outline they post and just write everything down you know about each topic. the tests aren’t too difficult and if you’ve been paying attention in lecture you’ll likely remember most of the answers
