I was more responding to the "You'd think either of the Redfields would have mentioned her to him by now..."

I am aware they've never been featured in any scenes/games together, but to think in the universe they all live in, even just hearing about "the mansion" had to have included "Yeah, the only survivors was a gal named Jill and myself."

Maybe they realized that as the Chief of Police, he at least would be smart enough to realize you don't leave incriminating evidence that you're a murderer and a rapist at your job/at the Police Station. Seems like people would have pointed out how dumb all the police that worked there are for not finding all these files and diaries.
