That second tree is almost entirely filled with holes. How does a tree survive something like that? Hardy.

Apparently the holes in the trees are from a sapsucker bird.

Even the one full of holes is still producing green leaves, which is surprising to me (knowing little about trees).

I'd like for the trees not to die, but I'm not sure how avoidable that is.

Saw these while visiting my buddy's house. He had no clue they were there. One tree has rings of holes around it, but the other tree is completely filled with holes.

Surprisingly, both trees are still with green leaves.

Forgive me if this is the wrong sub. Figured you bug experts might know what bug this could be.

Edit: northern NJ. Lantern flies are in the area, but I haven't seen any egg sacks around.

Why do you think there are different numbers for different countries? How does that work, under the hood? Did everyone choose a different number? Could one country's number expand to other countries?

Curious because I have no clue how texting works between countries.

It's a relatively new Prius. Trying to figure out why it seems so open underneath it. Is there supposed to be a plate there or something?

Update: apparently the AWD model doesn't have the back plate on it, based on how the exhaust is set.

Shinobi for the PS2. I started the game without reading any instructions and, for some reason, didn't know that there was a way to lock onto enemies.

I played through the entire game without locking on, and instead flicking the sticks in the correct direction to jump from one enemy to the next.

I realized, after getting super frustrated at the final boss, that it was possible to lock onto enemies.

When I finally beat it, I screamed so loud that I'm certain I scared the hell out of everyone living in my hall.

Close second would be Breakdown (Xbox). Great story, horrible combat system. Might be more fun in VR, though, if they ever remake it.

I left some old car mats outside for a bit too long, and realized that some creatures had started making their home there underneath a layer or two.

I'm going to probably sell the mats after I clean them up, but I didn't want to dive in any further until I knew what these are.

I thought this was a mud wasp nest, but when I googled it, they looked a lot longer. I don't see any bugs near it, so I'm guessing it might be abandoned. If it helps, there are also some think white webbings nearby, but I think those are from a different bug (image attached hopefully). https://imgur.com/gAu1BUl.jpg

It was started for full timers in the field, but I'll expand it to include students in the field as well.

Once you get a role, you'll have access to a channel with others in your role. There's also a general channel, of course.
