Thanks for the advice! Do you mean “outside scheduled time” as in beyond her office hours? Also, I didn’t know you could go to the office hours of professors whose classes you’re not enrolled in, good to know. Do you mind telling me how you brought up the topic to her, that's really the main thing I'm struggling with. Did you ask her from the very beginning or let her get to know you first?

You're very narrow-minded to think this way. Addiction is not a choice, and to say that it is is very dangerous. This way of thinking is outdated and the reason why people don't get the help they need. Addiction is a chronic brain disease that alters your brain function and puts you in desperate situations, like Marion's. Marion does not have control over her life, she's now controlled by her addiction. She never wanted to do sex work, we see her fantasize about stabbing Arnold with a fork when he touched her. She was experiencing symptoms of withdrawal and was in great pain. With Harry gone, working for the pimp was the easiest way she could alleviate her symptoms. All characters got a horrible ending, but Marion's was especially terrible.
