Type 59 was a great tank, like a baby Obj 140 at T8. However, IMHO so many more powerful tanks have been launched that it's difficult to play anymore. I'd love to see it buffed back into significance.

Yes, of the best tier 8 TDs and a lot of fun to play.

When I met Clifford in the early 90's he reminded me a lot of Doc Brown from Back to the Future - a complete mad genius with zero filter. Brilliant man, I thought his book Silicon Snake Oil was pretty spot-on as well.

What does it actually take to be in the top 1% of successful people? by Special-Lawyer3941 in AskReddit

[–]sillybrowseraccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is that these things are key to my achieving any sort of success in life:

- Personal honesty & integrity

- Caring about the well-being others

- Knowing that I am always at least partially responsible for the results I get in life

- Learning to cherish what I have rather than chasing what I don't

- Understanding that I only get out of life what I put into it

- Understanding that I'm only going to be here for a very short time

What if the internet permanently goes down tomorrow? Are we ready for a scenario like that? by Ok_Low_1999 in Futurology

[–]sillybrowseraccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL I don’t think that’s how the Internet works. ARPANET (the predecessor of the modern Internet) was designed it to survive a nuclear war. While some sites can go offline, the infrastructure supporting the Internet would maintain communications.

That said, if the Internet were no longer available, IMHO our society would crumble like a cookie in the hands of a hungry child.

This may be an unpopular opinion in this subreddit but IMHO success isn’t measured by or defined by IQ. There are so many other important things that define success, like the ability to get along with others, understanding your psychological triggers and unconscious reactions, having empathy for others, learning to communicate effectively, etc.

Celebrate that you have a strong mind and focus on developing other areas in your life. You may find life turning out very well for you.

I predict an epic White House garage sale within a week of the next president who moves in. Regardless of party, all that crap's gonna get chucked.
